Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Murder at Castle Nathria (+Maw and Disorder) Week 12 – October 2022

Imagine last week’s meta. And I mean it – try to picture it vividly in your mind. It’s the same meta this week. I could probably end on that note. And yes, I get that it’s kind of expected this late into the expansion, but players are really bored. And I mean it – our numbers have been dropping like a stone (hehe) for the last few weeks. Most of our traffic comes from – as you can probably guess it – deck lists. And when no one plays new decks then people don’t look them up. That’s why, from my perspective, some meta shift can’t come soon enough.

It looks like Blizzard didn’t go hard with nerfs in the last patch on purpose, and that purpose is “something fun” coming in Patch 24.6. I already talked about it last week, but I expect that it’s going to be a Hallow’s End event akin to Doom in the Tomb. Maybe not the same thing exactly, but something that shakes up the meta by bringing old cards or maybe adding some new, event-only cards temporarily (like Taverns of Time event in Arena). If the rumored Death Knight class coming next expansion will turn out to be true, I could see Blizzard temporarily bringing back some cards from Frozen Throne expansions, including Death Knight Heroes. While it’s hard to say how balanced they would be in current Standard, it would be fun to play with some of them again (outside of Wild, where most of them are sadly too weak to see play).

Talking about the new expansion, we won’t have to guess soon enough anyway. I expect the announcement to happen within the next 2 weeks. And I honestly can’t wait for it, because we’re really in a middle of a content drought right now.

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
