    Better than many people think.

Take their Ship! is a mind control option in certain situation to do a tempo swing. Will be used in some cases

Take their Supplies! is pretty good to counter any OTK deck, to get 5 cards is a huge value point.

But overall Take their Gold! will be mostly picked. Its just insane often opponent prepare a synergies gameplay like (cenarion ward plus solar eclipse) and If you steal one of this you just decide the game. You got also so much tempovalue out of it, that this is pretty scary. In the past there was for example renos whip which was a weapon where you could steal a card from hand and this was so broken af.

Overall a good and flexible tempo card, which will see play in every pirate deck. Hope the pirates are good enough in core set and expansion. So that this card can be meta.

As a wild rogue main i’m really looking forward to play this card. This will probably bei more of a meme card, but there several Options to play 8 cheap pirates espacially with the new pirate that draws pirates. Additionaly you can combo this card to trigger the battlecry several times in a turn.

Probably a bad card but if you manage to pull of the combo it will be a lot of fun 🙂

Too weak. 2nd and 3rd options barely do anything. And this card is too expensive.

If Dane will make this work in a Shadowcaster Rogue it’d be quite the sight.

I love the idea behind the card, but it feels way weaker than it should be. The stealing from deck thing has no immediate impact and may leave you with some unusable cards; taking cards from hand is a little better, though not necessarily amazing. The control effect is maybe the best.

But consider this. This is basically a MUCH weaker payoff than Warrior’s Questline. This does say “SUMMON”, so this is more flexible, but we’d have to wait and see I feel.

I think old Hooktusk was better and she didn’t see lots of play, unfortunately.

Ho yeah this card is bonker. The pay-off is game winning. Finally also another reason to play the 5 mana invoke 2 pirates. This set is looking good so far!!

will probably see more play in warrior by being generated randomly by the juggernaut

People are looking at this as a better Tickatus. I’m looking at this as a weaker Mordresh.

Besides, Tickatus was only played in control based decks, and when will a pirate based control rogue ever be viable? Also Tickatus costs 2 less mana and is way easier to activate.

People will be disappointed by the power of this card.

8 mana “do nothing” for pirate archetype seems…. odd, specially for pirates that are aggro oriented. Great card but its too slow for pirates, except we get a more control oriented pirates.

Yeah idk. This is a turbo value card in a class that still has 0 healing. Even if you play this on curve SOMEHOW and pick the fearsome “better tickatus” option, you are still going to be hard pressed to be able to play all those cards before you’re dead.

Also, the decks you’d pick that option against (control) can give you literal unplayable garbage. Sure, it denies them the resource, but adding cards like Shield Slam or some of the Priest holy/shadow spell lovers to your hand isn’t exactly “great”.

It’s a Tickatus in its most hideous form!! Throwing 5 cards out of the game is weak compared to stealing 5 cards from your opponent!! When the opponent sees the 5 cards on the rogue’s field, the guy gives up the game right away!!

I can already see Dane figuring out some insane way to abuse this card’s effect in wild

Well its a STEAL effect. Im theorycrafting it with Tess to abbuse using other class cards. Im even considering using the quest to have the weapon to help keep things under control, even spectral cutlass could be ok with steal / pirate package… Lets see!

So like yeah i see this being a reason to play pirate rogue, the only issue is, is we dont know the pirates that wouls be worth playing. This is very similar to something like quest rogue, where the legendary effect is really only as good as the cards that enable the effect. But omg this is such a rogue like card!!! Cant wait to kill any kind of control or combo deck( steals your hero card moments too!!!)

If the core deck has some sort of battlecry synergy, we are doomed, and we already have scabbs, so hold tight.

This is a better Tickatus, if it gets discovered by warrior’s new colossal minion, we fucked.

I swear people that comment need to learn what “discover” means in hearthstone.

Indeed, the colossal of warrior DISCOVER minions so they are ony class or generic, the only way warrior play this card is by the 1/2 pirate in wild (hope they not add that card in the new standard set).
