Abyssal Curse:
Here's how Abyssal Curses work:
- The first Abyssal Curse starts at 1 damage.
- The damage increases by 1 for each subsequent Abyssal Curse applied. So the second curse will deal 2 damage with each tick, the third will deal 3 etc.
- Each Curse lasts for 2 turns, but the opponent can play it for 2 mana to get rid of it early.
- 1 tick will always go through since it happens at the start of the turn.

Now either you need to be able to give the opponent lots of these curses currently 3 cards total that can do that which give one each which means a maximum (without shenanigans) total of 9 damage an extra card would give 18 more then 30 more for another 45 more etc.
I reckon they'll produce 2 more cards which can give curses, I reckon they'll need to be fairly cheap for this to work but also that might make then overpowered.

So a complete new archetype is coming where you deal damage with curses that build up.
Just hard to say if this will be good. Maybe absolut Meta nxt expansion, maybe not that good.
Warlock has some good control cards and we will see whats in core set.
Maybe everybody who rated this card 1star think that after rotation Quest will be meta in Warlock but nxt expansion Quest Warlock is just dead without that 14 cards which will rotate out. Warlock needs urgently a new archetype and this class is with rogue a potential canditate to be the last one in class tier list.

It's 1/5 is a big crap! But I'm going to acquire it because I already have everything in the class.

Something that hasnt been pointed out is that the stats are pretty good. This feels like a rare card, tho.

The stats are absolutely not good, what are you talking about? That wouldn't even be good in 2015

This archetype is dead on arrival. Only 4 slots left and I just don't see it especially when the 2 cards we DO have cost an obscene amount of mana and can't combo. It's just not impactful enough and control/combo warlocks need a lot of help.

I think there's a lot more to this than people think. It mentions curses, not specifically Abyssal Curse. There might be other curses introduced, either in another expansion or mini set or even the new year set.
I'm looking forward to seeing what could come. There's a lot of ways these curses can go.

Abyss Curse just mentions Curse, and it's not the first curse introduced. So it might work out? Hard to tell until the rest of the cards are revealed.

We need additional support (TBC) if not this card is a meme, even if you cheat more Abyssals with Tamsin, not enough. We'll see minimum another card so stay tuned the 5th of April. ?/5.
