Kazakusan

Kazakusan Card

Kazakusan is a 8 Mana Cost Legendary Neutral Minion Dragon card from the Onyxia's Lair set!

Card Text

Battlecry: If you played 4 Dragons this game, craft a custom deck of Treasures.

Flavor Text

Kazakus had always seemed too clever a sort to bottle a brew that could do him any harm. Perhaps it should come as no surprise, then, that the originator of the Dragonfire Potion was a dragon himself.

Kazakusan Additional Information

Kazakusan works like Archivist Elysiana – you Discover 5 of the treasures and replace your deck with 2 copies of each (10 cards in total).

The Treasures you craft your deck from:

If you pick both Hilt and Blade of Quel’delar, you get two copies of full Quel’delar instead of them (so 8 cards instead of 10 in total). Here’s how full Quel’dalar looks like:

Should Battlecry text be tweeked? Because right now having nothing (=no dragons!) in your deck = you have only dragons in your deck…

Lady Prestor, Vanndar Stormpike, Polkelt, Expired Merchant can attain multiple copies, multiple decks. Heck make it renounce darkness while you’re at it, and toss in Wyrmrest Purifier for guaranteed at some point between random Warlock cards, random other class cards, random dragons, then Discovered Treasures. Archivist Elysiana for backup and the decks are swabbed, ahoy!

      The stricter alternative would be,

Highlander, with cheaper Zephrys, Kazakus, Reno of course. Load deck with cheap, removal neutral minions and removal Warlock spells. Wyrmest to convert minions into random Warlock cards. Renounce Darkness to turn all Warlock cards (after having played Expired Merchant, ideally on Kazakusan) into random cards of one of the 9 other classes. Lady Prestor to turn the random minions from 1 of the other 9 classes into random dragons (of any class). Kazakusan then activated to convert whatever you have remaining in your deck into 10 Treasures. As final backup Archivist Elysiana for 10 final meme cards. Yogg, Yogg 2.0. Of course play with the order for the class-minion-card combinations. This is just great, thank you Blizzard (I’ve been playing Wild for memes since Grand Tournament)

The biggest problem I have with the card is that many of the treasures are really useless when your deck is nearly empty.

That said, fun card. Fun, but not that good.

I am going to make a quest-lock that has kazakusan, and also dragon breeders for extra greed: 0 mana legendary < 0 mana treasure. 😀

You could also play a normal control deck with Polkelt and Katrana Prestor

“If all Minions in your deck are Dragons”; uh … thinking if this will work the same as “No duplicates” with an empty deck as “No minions” =/= “Dragon”; will it at least require 1 dragon in the deck to play it like that?
And if it will, well, Ok. This is potentially the best version of Kazakus ever.

It works just like Reno cards.

But no, it‘s not the best version of Kazakus. Not even close. 😉

When I say “best” I only referr to “fun factor”.

The first Kazakus was the “strongest” among the lot.

This is an “Out-the-Window, Have-Fun” Finale Crazy Dragon card for everyone, so long as you have Dragons. This is a Seriously Cool card to have on board, and it’s pretty damn powerful too for what it offers. I’d say every class would be experimenting with Kazakusan for how much value it’s giving off; even for those that don’t really like playing dragon would be trying out Dragon.

And Imagine the potential you have in Duels as well. Dragon Hunter with Kazakusan for Example.

    5 Stars.

I’m not sure about this card, the effect is the coolest ever but I feel this is very slow, any aggro will demolish you if you play this 8 mana “do nothing” should be really ahead. Then you have the Dragon deck restrintions… We’ll see..

Will this break the game? Duels treasure aren’t meant for modes outside Duels. Hence I assume probably gonna trigger game breaking bugs.

Aside from that, people that don’t play Duels at all might be getting confused with how the treasures works.

Lastly, getting both part of Quel’delar weapon is a massive gamble. You mostly ended with only one part, because out of 5 choices, the probability is waaaay too slim.

I really want to try it but I’m kinda disappointed. We have seen these treasures for years. The worst part is reusing images in Wild: Pure Cold uses Simulacrum’s (epic collectable card) image and Necrotic Poison is “Rogues Do It…” from the original E.T.C…
