Top Standard Legend Decks From Rise of Shadows – Week 4 (May 2019)

Rise of Shadows is now out for nearly a month – huh! Single player content should come out soon (we should get an announcement on May 9), but it obviously won’t change the meta. We’ll get a new Whizbang the Wonderful-like card (which is great), but then again, deck recipes aren’t exactly most competitive. There are still no information about a nerf patch – it’s hard to say if we’ll get one or not. But looking at the meta, I’d say that Rogue deserves one, and maybe a Warrior too. Nerfing Rogue, however, would also indirectly nerf Warrior, because the class is so good right now mostly because of a positive Rogue matchup. So I wonder how they would handle it. Still, if anything, the nerf patch should would probably come out in a month or so. The situation isn’t really desperate (like it was early in Rastakhan’s Rumble, for example) so they can take their sweet time instead of rushing to action.

When it comes to the meta compared to last week, the top decks obviously didn’t change. Bomb Hunter cemented its position as one of the better builds in the meta, but that was obvious already for anyone who was paying close attention to the deck. Mecha’thun Warrior builds became a little bit more popular – mostly as an answer to regular Warrior decks. We’ve also got a new version of Conjurer Mage. It’s faster and much more spell-oriented. It runs a bunch of cheap spells to combo with Mana CycloneStargazer Luna, Archmage Antonidas and sometimes Vex Crow. It’s still hard to say which one is better – the new build got popular over the last few days so it might take some time to find the best version.
