Seems great with Beardo, Emperor Thaurissan and Uther in wild for OTK. The deck was already pretty good this with immortal prelate makes pulling off the OTK more consistent.

I meant Time Out, not Immortal Prelate

You know it’s also good for anyone running an egg deck it means don’t have to deliberately add cards with point being to kill eggs.

1 of these could allow you to give 2 eggs attack to smack a minion with and it gives you a 2/2 body.

I think quest mage could really benefit from this. Haven’t played that deck in a while but wouldn’t super cheap 1 mana spells make it very nice and easy? with just one sorcerer’s apprentice it would be zero mana.

Also, lol how about the priest weapon? would this make it more viable? haha

Quest mage does not struggle with completing the quest. It has trouble with surviving until they can complete the combo. This will not help with that problem.

Oh boy. Yet another conditional three mana 4/4, except it really isn’t since the Bananas are one cost spells. So… it’s actually a five mana 4/4…

Unless Quest Paladin finally comes around to being competitive or Miracle Rogue is fine with the terrible tempo of a three mana 2/2, this will see no play.

this is very good with wild Pyromancer, can help paladin and priest. like the Gargoyle and power word shield.

You’re still paying five mana for 4/4 worth of stats total for the minor benifit of 2/2 of those stats coming as spells. I know this is cheaper than Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale, but that did absolutely nothing during its time in Standard and has the exact same text as this.

Paladin has better Wild Pyromancer enablers that can also work with other things, and none of them are a complete tempo drain.

Gilded Gargoyle is only seeing play in Priest because the coins help enable combos and Power Word: Shield cycles a card.

I don’t understand the bad rating. This card is obviously good. One of the few to be honest.

How so? It’s five mana total for 4/4 worth of vanilla stats.

Three mana 2/2 with some card advantage have been played in the past and this gives you two spells to work with that you can split among multiple turns. That gives a board based deck a lot of utility for future turns to work with, or basically completes the mage quest itself, or works with Auctioneer or Lyra or Priest spell stone or tons of other spell synergy cards yet to be printed. It can also fill up your hand for big hand whatever and is a way to get spells into a spiteful deck, not sure how useful that last one is but the point is this unassuming little card has a lot more going for it than it looks at first glance. You probably will have better options for board based strategies, but adding two low cost spells to your hand can be a huge deal for some decks.

The bananas are not worth full cards, maybe a third to a half of a card each. Generating cheap spells can be good, but this is more of a tempo drain than a value tool.

The problem with Quest Mage is surviving without Ice Block, not completing the quest. There are better spell generation tools for a miracle Rogue. Razorpetal Lasher may only add one spell to hand, but it’s cheaper and has only slight below rate stats. Priest doesn’t need more spells to pull off Lyra combos too, and Spiteful Summoner decks do not need spells.

If this were one mana cheaper, it could be fine, but as is, it’s a three mana 2/2 that does nothing to affect the board without dumping more mana into it.

It could be good in a tempo quest mage like savjz one. This card is very good with leyline or apprentice. It’s basically a 2/2 for 3 that gives +2/+2 to something and give your quest +2 stacks. Then you use the quest for tempo and gain an additional 1 mana over your opponent as well because you play twive

            To Pindead

This is not something anyone should want to play in a tempo deck. Five mana for 4/4 worth of stats is a complete tempo drain. You’re not always going to have spell cost reduction out on board for this, and the typical quest mage would rather keep Apprentices in hand to make the combo work. Even with spell cost reduction, it becomes a vanilla three mana 4/4, which there are better things for a Mage to play.

    Buff paladin buff paladin

It’s too slow for an already slow deck tho

    2/5

On the surface, a 5 mana 4/4, absolute garbage. But of course, the real appeal is getting two cheap spells, which Rogue has wanted since the beginning of time and Priest has gotten a bit of a push for this expansion. I still don’t see this card being particularly amazing, but definitely more interesting than it looks at first glance.

Kinda good? This is insane in Miracle Rouge. Also wild with Thurasin, Beardo and DK Uther.

I love Miracle Rogue but this is pretty bad. 3 mana 2/2 is bad tempo even if it helps activate combos, Gadgets and Questings later on. Razorpetal Lasher doesn’t see play anymore and it’s better then the banana man. Maybe this sees play in April when the deck will be forced to run sub-optimal cards (like Wanted! or Sinister Strike) but right now it’s a hard pass.
