Control Shaman looks insane and this card is great at keeping shaman alive. The trick is to play this card with kragwa and you automatically have 100 health in your hand

My guessing as to why it does not read echo is to maintain an “consistant inconsistency” (yes, I said that) with the inconsistant Unstable Evolution which, for some reasons, was never given Echo.

By maintaining a “consistant inconsistancy” I guess they thought people would get less confused; instead, people still got confused, if not even more.

Other than that, Krag’wa combo will live on and Shaman gets more heals than Druid and Priest; plus the free Spells off Hagatha and discoveries can potentially grant more of these. I’m glad Shaman might be playable after so long.

We all like the Echo mechanic. It doesn’t need to be restricted to one expansion. Come on.

    dont you mean

    “echo”?

They didnt wanted to use a keyword from Witchwood. Thats all. But yes, it means echo. So at turn 10 you can heal for 20. Cool card!

If that really is the reason why there is no ‘Echo’ on the card, it’s the dumbest decision Blizzard has ever made. I mean, come on … that is super stupid!?

They wanna keep the connection from that keyword to Witchwood. Its simple. Maybe dumb. I think its okay.

Actually, I think the people pointing at the Krag’wa interaction are right.

‘Connecting’ keywords to expansions generates many problems for future card design – wording inconsistancy is just one of them.

SN1P-SN4P would like to have a word with you.

So, a 2 mana spell that heals for 4 and has Echo, but uses different wording just to be confusing. O… kay.

This is a little mana inefficient compared to the usual healing efficiency in Hearthstone; if you compare it with the most efficient spells, it’s very inefficient (it takes 6 mana for this spell to equal Healing Rain’s 3-mana effect). That said, the versatility in how much you want to pay and what you want to heal is nice, and if you combo this with Krag’wa you get the option to pump as much mana into healing as you could ever want. Auto-include in Control Shaman. 5/5

Good heal takes 6 Mana to equal healing rain when healing self. I will miss trolling people with the card to boost attack when heal + healing rain like 25 attack after one play did that as alternate win condition when shudderwock shaman came out.

I have a feeling that the reason for not using ‘echo’ is to prevent the Krag’wa synergy. My guess is you’d just get one copy of it back if you played the frog the next turn rather than multiple copies ala Unstable evolution.

I’d question why wouldn’t get more copies since your recasting the spell.

Echo creates another copy of the spell in your hand, so each cast is a new spell.
This is one cast I imagine.
Just a guess anyway, otherwise I literally see no reason for them not using ‘echo’.

If had echo it would work with card that buffs when play echo cards.

I know it’s a rogue card but if rogue took this from shammy class that’s a bit scary for that purpose since in standard rogue plays echo more than any other class.

Maybe, but I think my explanation is more likely. Shame really, I do love an ultra control Shaman and this would be a very powerful combo.

Unstable Evolution and Witch’s Brew have the exact same wording so I have no idea what you’re going on about here: why would you not get 2+ copies off Krag’wa? Yes you will and yes I can’t wait to get that combo off. Healing for days is all I was looking for.

Unstable Evolution, you have been reincarnated!

      4,5/5.

Thing is, the wording isn’t the same.

          Unstable Evolution:
“Transform a friendly minion into one that costs (1) more. REPEATABLE THIS TURN.”
          Witch’s Brew:
“Restore 4 Health. REPEATABLE THIS TURN.”

But I think the misunderstanding has already been cleared.

Sorry to burst your bubble, unstable evolution is repeatable this turn, not echo. And kragwa returns multiple copies of it.

Hmm, my bad. This makes it an extremely good card in a control shaman deck.

With that being said, no bubble has been burst because there was no bubble in the first place. I was simply offering a suggestion as to why echo wasn’t used? Whether I’m right or wrong, I simply do not care. Like I said, I love Control Shaman, so I’m actually pleased with the interaction.

    Echo… is a myth.

Too dignified to repeat the Echo keyword, haha.

Anyway, great healing spell now that Healing Rain is out. A surefire add for Control Shaman and downright mean when they pull it from Hagatha.

Why no Echo or Twinspell wtf

    • Scarecrow72
      April 3, 2019 at 1:32 pm

Maybe to avoid Echo synergies or because Echo is a keyword specific from Witchwood

the point of this expansion is to use things from the past

what echosynergies exist? I can’t think of any. the only thing i can imagine is that this is a foul trick to make it not synergise with krag wa (even though the wording still sounds like you’d get several copies.
