Love it in magic carpet lackey deck

Think this can be summed up as ‘filler’. Just kinda that Neutral everyone expects but doesn’t really wanna play.

Even if you play this at 3 mana and get to use the Lackey right away, you are playing a 2 Mana 1/1. That’s bad. Awful, even. And you’re playing a 1 Mana 1/1 with it with a Battlecry that may not be effective?

Don’t see this being used when specific Class options either have better statlines or better effects in addition to giving you a Lackey.

Not as bad as people think. It’s not a 2 drop it’s a 3 drop

    3 mana for:
    2-1 rush and a 1-1
    2-2 deal 2 damage
    2-2 discover a spell
    1-1 and a random 3 drop
    2 1-1s and a random 2

Some good tempo in there depending on the lackey

EVIL Cable Rat is ultimately a necessary card to create but not great as a result. If there is a Lackey spam deck, this will see play in it, but it won’t see much otherwise.

Stats are too weak for its cost for Aggro and Midrange decks, but Control decks also need 2-drops with Raven Familiar, Radiant Elemental and Vulgar Homunculus rotating out. This replaces itself in your hand (good if you run Mountain Giant or Twilight Drake), and the lackey should be quite helpful. Two bodies for cheap also synergizes well with Hagatha, now that Fire Fly is going away.

It’s not for everyone, but I think this will see Constructed play. 3/5

Interesting art. Not the worst card ever if you really want those lackeys, but as of now, the card is still bad.

Confirmed to be the only all class lackey gain, so it makes sense to be relatively undesirable to the classes that won’t be getting other lackey cards – but for those that do, and have lackey synergy cards, you’re gonna have to run this out of obligation, and “3 mana 2/2 + do something flexibly” is not bad at all

Not a bad card at turn 3 2/2 value with certain lakeys giving good value and it seems classes like rogue need to have lackeys to trigger some cards.

I mean, there are better ways to get lackeys. Lackeys are good if you get them as a bonus to another effect, this way of obtaining them just isn’t great. 1/5

What better ways we’ve only seen 1 other card that can give lackeys and it requires triggering a combo. Can’t dis the card considering out of the 2 we’ve seen they’re bad stat wise but the real value is in the lakeys anyway.

The lackeys are good tempo, but not SO good that like, you’ll be putting the equivalent of a Novice Engineer in a tempo deck. Even if you can pump this up with Battlecry or Lackey synergies, there’ll probably be better cards to play.

On the plus side, it is very cute.
