Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – March of the Lich King Week 4 – January 2023

It’s been nearly a month since March of the Lich King expansion was released, introducing the Death Knight class. So far the expansions’ reception has been rather mixed – it has its strengths, but players aren’t happy with every aspect of the meta. Balance update helped with that a bit, but it’s still not perfect, particularly for Warrior and Priest who struggle to keep up with other classes. Luckily, Death Knight is finally viable – well, at least one of its Runes (Frost), but that’s good enough for it to see a decent amount of ladder play with 50%+ WR. People still try hard to make Blood viable, with mixed results. Unholy is by far the worst-performing one, only really played at lower ranks (in Diamond-Legend it has around 1-2% play rate, which is awfully low given that Death Knight is a new class).

Between Christmas and New Year (happy New Year, by the way!) it’s been a rather slow period, but I assume that things should pick up the pace starting next week. Maybe some more meta developments, or news about Patch 25.2 (it should be a major Battlegrounds update, but it can add stuff for other game modes too). I can’t talk too much about the recent shifts in the meta, because I haven’t been playing much myself over the last week – real life has kept me busy. But I’ll back on track starting tomorrow!

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
