I revisited this card… bonkers with almost every Mage deck (talking Wild mainly). Even with some sort of Hand Giant thing, fills your hand to max and maybe gives 1-2 spells you can use in that turn.

    Crazy good in Quest Mage.

And then there is this new Sorcerer Apprentice spell that reduces all spells in your deck by 1…

Cyclone Mage is waiting for you.

    5 Stars.

This card is pretty good both as a finisher for tempo and as removal for slower mage decks. This card is really strong with sorcerers apprentice as well. This card can kind of be compared to the solarium as they both do similar things for the same mana cost. This card will draw a lot more than the solarium but the cards on average will be worse. Notably hitting conjurers calling or ray of frost is great because the second copy of the twinspell will stay in your hand. it all just depends on how the mage spell pool is looking, but I assume this will be a strong card. 4/5 though because I’m not sure if mage will be tier 1

It’s a nice card especially as a late game option for a tempo mage deck also it supports Mana giant for playing cards that didn’t start in deck. And with mountain giant going to Hall of Fame mage doesn’t have as much of a reason to horde cards in the hand.

great card. on the worst case you waste one mana for gain nothing useful
but most cases its going to be super good outcome

Insane amount of value and variety, and all that without taking into account sorcerer’s apprentice. What’s not to love about this card?

Insane amount of value? If you play this in quest generate random mage which is extremely weak then maybe this card is ok. If you play it in the only competitive mage deck in this meta which is Highlander mage which first of all got a fairly full hand at all times where will this spell fit in? You have 8 cards in your hand and get 2 elemental allies now what? When is this card ever going to be useful in a competitive deck? How is this card rated so high? It’s literally useless.

Just because you have giant hands doesn’t mean this is useless, at most this card is 1 Mana 1 card gain 10 spells which has insane value. It might not be used in a game very often but having it as a last chance if a game runs super late. It also could be very useful in Mana cyclone decks becuase they can get rid of cards super fast. It has a lot of uses even in decks that have big hands

For an epic it would have been fine but this is using up a legend slot in this expac, pretty bad legendary if u ask me and it finds no place in mage except for cyclone mage as I stated earlier which is t4 at the moment might go up to t3 now.

Garbage card.. Mage is officially a dead class. True rng class 2/5 stars. If it would have kept the spells it would have been 3.5 stars..

Except in Wild it has 2 of the 4 strongest decks. But yeah, not much going on in Standard.

To bad that it’s end of turn and not on your opponents turn, but still fun. Perfect for my random Reno and Yoga deck.
