Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Scholomance Academy Week 10 – October 2020

Wild players, rejoice! Like we’ve detailed in this post, we’ve added a way to switch between Standard & Wild decks on the featured section, which also means that we’ll be posting more Wild decks from now on. I’ll be honest that I don’t have a lot of experience with the format – I play it from time to time, hit Legend a couple of times, but usually late into the expansion when Standard gets boring. So I’ll still focus my write-up on the general HS news and Standard meta changes. I will try to catch up more with the format, but can’t promise anything yet.

But honestly, there’s not much to talk about. The meta is still slowly setting up after Guardian Animals nerf. Some players had success with Guardian Druid (see baenugget’s #1 Legend build), but stats disagree – for an average Legend player, it’s a deep Tier 3 build, maybe even Tier 4 (also called “trash tier”). You theoretically COULD try to climb with it, but I wouldn’t recommend it. As for the other meta changes, there honestly weren’t any over the last week. The best players were preparing for Grandmasters Playoffs, and many non-competitive players aren’t playing a lot mid-month (some because they got bored of the meta, others because they already secured a nice Legend rank and don’t need to play that much in the current system). Talking about Grandmasters – we’ll be posting best GM lineups from playoffs soon!

We’re still waiting for more info about the new game mode, and I guess that we should learn about it pretty soon – after all, it’s meant to launch this expansion, while the clock is ticking. There are only ~2 months left until the next set, and I don’t think that they will want to launch it at the very last moment. New game mode will definitely shake things up – not for Standard, but in Hearthstone in general. Many players that are bored with the meta might come back just to play it, which would be fun.

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
