so if i modify the spell cost with kel, does it get the modified +1 or does it get the base cost of the spell as bonus?

    Versatile card.

You can cheap it out to deal with small boards. You can buff it late game to deal with bigger boards. ANd if you can get it out and cast a 10 mana spell like Survival of the Fittest, it’s game over.

I guess it’s good for making late game Overflow safer after you ramp and need to reload.
The issue is that you’ll need this card + Overflow to be 2 of the cards in your 3-4 card hand.

I’m sure there are other applications, but that’s the one that jumped to mind for me.

This guy is capable of some really nasty things.

Guys, It’s “gain” which means it adds the mana cost to the original 1/4 stats of the card, not replace. That still does not make this OP. It can be a good card in certain situations, but you need to spend 9 mana, not 3, (3 to play card, 6 to play a high cost spell) to get this thing to a 7/10 stat line. It then Has rush and windfury so sure it will be a good board clear, but then you figure it will be a 7/4 or so after attacking minions and the it’s your opponents turn i which he will easily be able to remove this guy.
I dunno where people are getting that’s it 3mana to do 20 dmg to the face from. It’ll cost you a full turn to get this guy to be a very good removal minion. And then that’s likely the extent of his life. Great card, not OP.

Slightly worse then siamat. 3.5-4 stars

i dont understand why people are thinking this is op. assuming that the spell’s mana cost adds to the stats and doesn’t become them, if you play this with nourish, it’s a 7/10 windfury. however you still had to commit to playing them together, which is probably when you have 9 mana. and with so much removal with stuff like sap, siphon soul, shadow word, and reno, this looks like a solid card, but not overpowered.

It’s rush windfury. Meaning it wipes out your opponent’s board befor it gets sapped.

Wait, this looks a little OP if the cost of the spell adds up to the initial stats right?

I think if you play a 3 mana spell, the minion becomes 3/3 right? (instead of 4/7 which makes no sens, way too op)

    • Tokzik
      July 28, 2020 at 7:45 am

since it says gain stats instead of become or something i think it adds to the original stats. so if you play this and blessing of the ancients, it becomes 4/9

        July 28, 2020 at 7:50 am

        *5/8 for Blessing of Ancients
But yes, gain is gain. If this is played with a 4 Mana Spell, it gets +4/+4.

You do realise a 3 mana 5/8 rush windfury looks completely op right? I dont think they could push the strength of the card to that extend. This look to the power level of something like Highlander cards (zephrys, Reno level of op).

I do understand the wording on the card suggest the stats adds up. But my brain says it cant be…

The fact that you have to combo it with a spell to increase its stats makes it impossible to play on turn three, and is pretty balanced as a result. So, this won’t actually be a 5/8 rush windfury on turn three, although it could be on turn 7 with the right cards.

If you summon this card of 3 and use germination on 4 when you can attack the face. That would be 20 to the face right?

      July 28, 2020 at 2:14 pm

Where are you getting 20 to the face from?
It’s only gains what the mana cost of the one time spell you use is. And it has rush not charge.

        1. I was talking about waiting a turn after it is summoned and then using both attacks to the face
        2. i thought spell burst activated before the spell so you would get 2 wind fury minions with 5 each but it would only buff the first one

I guess it will die if you cast a 0 cost minion XD

Let’s say you use this with just Mark of the wild (give +2/+2 and taunt)… For just 5 mana you get a 5/8 windfury, rush taunt minion… That’s insane not to mention the bigger spell cards you can use this with. If Druid gets a good 3 mana buff spell this can potentially be super scary.

As for Shaman even Totemic reflection makes this a 6/9 rush windfury. There are tons of possibilities. It’s a very efficient big minion for very little mana, absolutely bonkers for any tempo deck.

Totemic reflection can only be casted on totems but if you use germination you can get 2 for a total of 20 damage

No you can cast it on any minion, you wont get the copy unless it is a totem though!

Does this work with Sapphire Spellstone?

I believe spellburst happens first so yes and that’s genuinely amazing… Four 8/12 with rush and windfury for 10 mana lol.

    • Stanek
      July 28, 2020 at 4:35 am

      It doesn’t.

Spellburst activates after a spell effect is over.

Okay, but then spellstone copies the spellburst as well, right? But I guess you’ll have a 8/11 and 3 1/4s with unused spellburst

        • Stanek
          July 28, 2020 at 5:39 am

Copies wasn’t on battlefield when you casted a spell, so that’s possible outcome, but hearthstone is consistently unconsistent. (also I didn’t think about that part)

          I think this is correct.

      July 28, 2020 at 4:35 am

Spellburst triggers after the spell is resolved, and I think it queues up when it’s cast, so it would summon a 1/4 copy that can still be buffed. Forgive me if I’m wrong.

Oh, that’s amazing. This + Nourish or something and you have a 7/10 with windfury for 9. Don’t even need to play the spell on the same turn if you can keep him alive with a taunt.

“Hey do you know this proffesors name?”

    “Of course I do it’s……ummm…..no I guess I don’t.”

Overall this is a nice card and could expect it to be run in quest druid since it works well at 9 cost with all those 6 cost spells.

It got translated from some asian language, but his name should be “Speaker Girda”.

Many of the revealed cards don’t have an English translation so we have to find others translating it / do it ourselves through a translator (if it’s something like one keyword).

But effects are generally simpler to translate than names, that’s why many people aren’t even trying to do it. That’s why we sometimes add cards with wrong names or placeholder names, and then update once we know the translation (like right now).
