Bad statline, no inherent synergy except for the other terrible 1-health paladin minions in the set. If your goal is to draw, just play 2 copies of crystology. 1/5

For 1 more mana that loot hoarder you draw one more card and get 1 more atk. That’s a very good deal. Combo paladins already play Novice engineer, Thalnos, and Elven archer, so the 1 health targets are there. This seems like it fits right in.
Novice Engineer, Thalnos and Elven Archer are all played because they only have 1 attack – you can pull them with Crystology. In a combo deck, this is just not as good as Crystology, it costs 2 more and can be silenced.
However, I can see it in a more aggro or Divine Shield oriented deck – Sandwasp Queen, Argent Squire, Scarlet Crusader (maybe) and Giggling Inventor with Autodefence Matrix and Never Surrender.
“Not as good as Crystology” is not a valid argument, since Crystology is completely overpowered.
If it’s better than a playable card then it’s playable.
If it’s worse than a not-playable card then it’s not playable.
But if it’s worse than a playable card, that doesn’t tell you anything.
I never said it wasn’t playable – or even that it wasn’t good… I actually think that on its own, or in a different deck, Salhet’s Pride looks like a fairly decent card. I’m just not seeing it in either Shirvallah OTK or (Wild) Four Horsemen OTK Paladin decks because Crystology performs the same role – only much better.
“It’s worse than Crystology therefore it won’t be played” is not a valid argument, even if you add “in Shirvallah OTK” at the end of the sentence.
This is horrible in combo paladin when Crystology exists.
I really hate these 1 health cards. If this 1 health thing going to work it’s gonna be a super agro deck like murloc shaman. And if this does not work, Paladin pretty much did not get any cards this expansion and wont be really a class that can be played until the next expansion.
So, Blizzard is heavily hinting at some upcoming synergy with 1-health minions, there’s no other reason for making new 1-health minions at the 1 mana, 2 mana and 3 mana marks. As for grading this before we know what that synergy will be, that’s easy, this minion has a bad body and it draws you other minions with bad bodies; none of these new cards even get drawn from Crystology, the best card in the game right now. Needs some heavy synergy to be playable. 2/5
Passive reward “your minions have reborn?” Maybe? Idk.
Since Paladin is a “defending class” against the attacker of Dalaran, Pally will might not get Reborn? Warrior and Priest are more related to that. I dont see Pally getting any Reborn keyword. But Priest is an attacker of dalaran and is getting Plague, so this theme related thinking dont make any sense from me :D.
Iam not sure. The secret synergy with these 1 health minions is pretty good!

There is no way that the paladin quest doesn’t have something to do with 1 health minions.
I hate this. Standalone, it’s awful, but when Paladin eventually gets another aggro deck, this will be really good. 3/5.

Take into account the pally secret to boost cards health when opponent plays a spell and start seeing a pattern this is definitely going to be a set focussed on hand buff and aggro attacks. Pally secret may have to do with giving health to minions or buffing hand.
I don’t think the 1 health synergy thing will be good but this card could be used in Shirvallah otk. It draws itself, Novice Engineer and Bloodmage Thalnos as well as cards I might be forgetting or potentially useful ones yet to be seen in this expansion.
So this card draws possibly the Sandwasp Queen and Brazen Zealot too. Not sure if i wanna get a board full of 1 health minions?! Call to Adventure? Handbuff Pally? Magic Carpet Pally? Some single target buff pally? I dont know what this can look like. I really hope that Paladin can do more than just mechs and OTK in the Future! 2/5
I am really hoping the pally quest isn’t going to be an Aggro Carnessa style deck. Bust so far 30% of their cards look like they will be supporting this play style. I better be a passive reward like summoned minions either get divine shield or 2 extra health BC these cards wont stand up to warrior/priest/carpetlock/most rogues/anything really if they have to spam 1 health minions. I’m not saying it won’t be viable(we are missing the other seven cards) but a deck centered around 1 health minions will rely on the anti spell secret which you can only pack 2 just so fan of knives/Arcane explosion(without +spell damage which I have yet to see in heist) can’t clear your board.
On terms of design it isn’t busted 2/5. On artwork 1/5 since we see one lion and not a pride.
