Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Forged in the Barrens (Wailing Caverns) Week 13 – June 2021

Another week went by without anything major happening in Hearthstone. Of course, that’s to be expected, since we’re in the “downtime” period. The only thing we can expect before next expansion’s announcement and reveal season is probably Midsummer Festival event – however it might be themed this year (last one was Felfire Festival, thanks to Demon Hunter’s launch). If we go by the previous releases, all of them besides last year’s happened early in July, so if I had to make a guess, I’d say July 6 or July 8 (Tuesday/Thursday – usual patch days). Maybe even July 1 if they really want to rush it, but it feels a bit too early. Now, what to expect from it? Hard to say – last time we had PvE content, but I don’t think they will go for it again since we’re getting all the Book of Heroes and Mercenaries releases. Probably some Brawls, Legendary Quest chain. Hopefully, they will also come up with something more fun.

As for the meta – that event won’t likely have any impact on it, unless they decide to do something along the lines of Doom in the Tomb or maybe a big roundup of buffs – so we’re probably stuck with what we have right now for another 1-1.5 months. Is it bad? Well, it depends on how much you like Priest, because the class is only getting more and more popular as we speak. And since I know that most of you hate Priest… well, then it’s not looking that well. But honestly, if we ignore that, the meta is not that bad. It’s pretty diverse, we don’t have any Tier 1 outlier that just destroys anything, we don’t have any decks with 20%+ popularity, and most of the classes have some viable decks. Nothing has changed in that department – Paladin and Warlock are still the weakest ones. Technically Warlock still has some play rate, for whatever reason (I guess that some people really like Control Warlock and will play it even when it’s bad), and Paladin already had its time to shine, so it’s not the end of the world.

The only “new” thing is that some players are experimenting with Lock and Load and/or Deathrattle builds in Hunter. It’s still in the early stages and maybe they will disappear completely a week from now, but who knows? So far some builds look pretty promising – either as a standalone deck based on those mechanics, or mixing those up with Face Hunter shell. I’ll report on those next week if there’s any development!

Anyway, we’ll see whether Blizzard decides to push any more meta shifts by the next expansion. And if not, I’m afraid that I will have less and less decks to post – because let’s be honest, players don’t feel like sharing hitting a high rank with the same deck for the 10th time.

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
