weird typo but it should say ‘battlecry: summon 7 voidwalkers and no voidlords’

Wonder how this interacts with Void Terror, do you get a vanilla one or the upgraded one.

Vanilla, it counts as an enchantment

I think that this card has a very good upgrade of the racial and the battlecry is more for support and the difficulty is to stay alive until you play this card … then i believe that you have serious chances to win the game…
I just love Gul Dan and my opinion is that this card is powerful enough !!

It’s my key card, I play Demonlock

Good in Standard … but it should be flippin’ amazing in Wild.

Voidcallers to bypass the worst discard mechanics (Doomguard and Fellhound) combined with Mal’ganis, then just when your opponent thinks they’ve got rid of that nightmare board – Oh Hai! We’re BACK!

Remember this could be played much earlier with Bloodbloom.

Well that depends on whether Hero cards count as spells or not. In the promo video they did say its a completely new type of card (quests count as spells) but they did say that about quests as well.

      • Bagern
        August 8, 2017 at 4:39 am

Quests were new type of spell.
Death Knights are new type of card.
        So it probably won’t work.

          August 8, 2017 at 6:46 am

So that means there will be no counters, via secrets etc?

          August 8, 2017 at 6:50 am

I think with a full control package aimed to get you to turn 10 this could be interesting. Warlock has lots of board clears, destroy minion spells and demons that do battlecry damage. What would the win condition be? Are the resurrected demons enough.

            August 8, 2017 at 8:00 am

maybe the 3 damage per round that heal you?

            August 8, 2017 at 1:52 pm

I have special deck for late game for this haha with krul and n zoth and ofc DK haha but yes only in wild 🙂 i dont care for standard since reno rotated out of it.. It will be good cause there will be more control decks like never before.. i hope haha every season i manage to get at least rank 10, lowest rank 4 with my (how other says “greedy” deck) but isnt wild just for fun and not for tryhard legend rank lol?

In my experience, they are enough when they are enough when it’s ilidens from carnivorous cubes and a couple of taunts

This card is op in wild format, just Think at mal’ganis

Completely unplayable, what where they thinking?!… :/

There is no such thing as friendly demons.

demon control lock, but whether its viable to survive from all the crazy aggro/token meta before it’s able to cast this card? I doubt.

wow good card such good demons wow.

it sucks, no way you’re gonna get away with paying 10 mana on 1 turn without getting something good. sure, your hero power becomes much better, but that effect doesn’t instantly effect the board. sure, you gain 5 armor, but that’s worth about 1 mana. sure, you gain alot of demons, but tell me which demons are worth playing? and how do you plan to survive the turn you play this, because there are no good taunt demons

thanks blizz you did it again, warlock is stuck in this hole in which it is useless and all you do is throw rocks at the poor guy

      August 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm

really glad it’s not anything with discard tho, so thx for that I guess?

    • DragonZzBreath
      August 7, 2017 at 6:52 pm

Yeahhhh, you’re completely wrong mate. If you even cared enough to play warlock you’d understand like other Warlock mains that this is really, really good and is something warlock has needed for a long time now. Me and my mates were actually picturing it to be worse than this. But we still thought all our prediction’s would of made the deathknight version of Gul’dan really viable and interesting to play.

But then this here far exceeded our predictions and is more overpowered. It’s like a N’Zoth without the deathrattles, 5 armor and a really sick hero power. You wouldn’t play this to answer the opponents board like you were saying. you’d twisting nether if you were really in a bind and then play this.

Be a bit more appreciative mate.

      • Simp
        August 8, 2017 at 4:35 pm

you can set this card up quite well by playing something like nether into doomsayer and play it onto an empty board and then you pretty much hve a really really good board with an amazing hero power and good demons

      • Carson

        I totally agree

    August 7, 2017 at 5:55 pm

Krul the unshackled has extreme potential with this card
Combined with the cards warlock has now just gotten i think this deathknight may bring demonlock back to light in a new style
Which is great since I never got to really experience it

    • nightfall
      August 7, 2017 at 6:02 pm

actually thank you, krul the unshackled was a horrible card, so why would people play this one, costing 1 more mana (sure that doesn’t matter all too much) and losing a 9/7 body?

      • A flyin dog
        August 7, 2017 at 6:15 pm

Your thinking of it as a bad card because it hadn’t no synergys with hardly anything and took up the whole turn and usually you don’t have good demons in your hand
But lifesteal along with other added warlock balance cards will add survivablity to warlock to make krul more viable therefore reinforcing this card
And also krul is a 7/9 thank you for know your hearthstone bud
Your view on this card being bad is because your not looking at the old and new cards that work well together with it
Maybe it’s not the best but for sure is better than anything else blizzard has promoted recently for warlock ( cough, cough discard)
And to mention that krul negates discard effects as they instantly come onto the board, giving a lot of value

        • Spryder
          August 7, 2017 at 6:34 pm

Demonlock has even more potential with kazakus because the minion you summon is a demon and reviving something like a doomguard or a felhound will give TONS of board presence plus all of the early game demons you run will help you stay alive to that point. I think this deck will be really good.

      • Summondo
        August 8, 2017 at 3:30 am

Because Krul The unshackled required you to have no duplicates in The deck and required you to have the demons in the hand, while this card takes all your dead demons and revive them, and gives you a really strong hero power.

Play this In wild after, after they managed to kill your malganis that was pulled by your void caller… the dream

    • pihp
      August 8, 2017 at 12:51 am

Yes, woke up this morning telling myself this sucked, but that I would probably craft malganis for wild…

  13. SwoleLord
    August 7, 2017 at 3:28 pm

As a avid warlock player this is garbage. Only one demon with taunt worth playing and to big of a risk with 4 2 card discard. No deathrattle minions on board to make sure you keep board. Also by turn 10 aggro has already won or or loss.

    • nightfall
      August 7, 2017 at 5:49 pm

      thank you, you understand

    • BlueyesOwl
      August 7, 2017 at 5:59 pm

You don’t need taunt demons to servive as a Demonlock.
If you’re really a competitive warlock you would never called this card “garbage”.
The best demons you need for this Hero’s battlecry aren’t from “discard” thematic and are more than playable:
Dread Infernal, Abyssal Enforcer, also the new Despicable Dreadlord and maybe even Kabal Trafficker can see play now.
Add those with the Hp of Lord Jaraxxus that spam demons every turn 😉
Overall what we have gotten from the set is going to help a lot with the tempo problem.
We are getting Defile and Drain Soul also, all being tempo cards.
Bringing back a couple 1/3 taunts, a 4/5 and a 6/6 is enough to legitimize the new Battlecry and if the Warlock survives turn 11, its going to be very clear who is going to win the game.
All in all, if the new tempo cards prove good enough to push warlock into the later turns, this WILL be more than just playable Hero card.
We’ll need to see, but things are looking very promising.

P.S.> And think that I was one of those who didn’t believed that warlock could be playable again.
Seems and my hopes are higher now that I was very wrong. (In wild Lock will be now Tier0 !!!)

        August 8, 2017 at 5:16 am

let him alone dude… he is retarded xD (dont take it personally) he looks only for proplayer decklists and dont know how to build his own unique deck for playing the game.. its obvously that he wanna get legend rank so hard haha so sad

    • haha
      August 8, 2017 at 5:23 am

when you will have 1500 wins in ranked with handlock/renolock (control walrock) only then you will be able to tell what is good and what is not good card for him..

i admit i dont play any other class so i cant and i wont tell what is god and what isnt just by its effect or stats.. but believe me i know what is good for warlock and this card is what we were waiting for so long..

best legendary for warlock last few expansions..

  14. Fanderay
    August 7, 2017 at 3:07 pm

If you manage to summon 2 doomguards and 2 lakkari felhounds you get 4 minions worth 18 mana without the penalties of discard and with 2x taunt and 2x charge. Plus 5 armor and the new hero power 3 lifesteal damage. I’d say this is a great value card. The point is: is this card too slow or we will be able to play it in such a scenario?

    • Anonymous
      August 7, 2017 at 9:42 pm

I don’t think this is a bad card at all, but I do feel it is worth mentioning that in a deck running all of those cards, you run the risk of discarding the hero.

  15. pikazou
    August 7, 2017 at 3:07 pm

Very good card, it’s like a second N’Zoth if you build your deck arround it and the hero power is just super strong. It costs 10 mana, yeah, but it doesn’t make any differnce if you pay 9 or 10 for it, because you will rarely play this on curve and if you have 10 mana, the 1 mana crystal that is left is useless.

  16. Maximal
    August 7, 2017 at 2:22 pm

This is better than Jaraxxus simply because its a great tempo card with strong hero power too. Hero power is worth 3 mana. There are enough good demons to make it work in standard, namely Despicable Dreadlord and Abyssal Enforcer, you don’t need many anyway, warlock hero power allows you to go through your deck fast and find those cards. It’s a great stabilisation tool against aggro too.

And just lol at people including this card with discard demons in the deck. Good luck discarding your 10 mana hero, that will be stuck in your hand for numerous turns.

I really like this card. Siphon life seems very strong. Its a good source for both healing and dealing damage to both minions and face. I like the art too. This might be my favorite death knight card. I hope its good.

    August 7, 2017 at 11:59 am

There aren’t good demons for control decks and this card probably won’t fit in zoo…the card is really good but blizzard is idiot and don’t think about certain things

    • Ben
      August 7, 2017 at 12:05 pm

Despicable Dreadlord, Jaraxxus, Enforcer, Dread Infernal, Doomguard? Those are all good demon cards that can work perfectly for a warlock deck with this card

      • vds
        August 7, 2017 at 2:21 pm

The same jaraxxus with a different hero power? really? or the doomguard that discard 2 random card from your hand (maybe this 10 cost card)? or other demon without taunt leaving you with only 5 armor and a hero power that you cant maybe even use becuse you die first?

        • Anonymus
          August 7, 2017 at 5:47 pm

You propably have two doomguards to guard you. That’s 10 damage. You might kill your opponent that turn you play this. Buuut.. I’m not convinced either, and Jaraxxus is obviously bullshit.

      • Altsz
        August 7, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Lord J wont work. I mean the momment lord J die, you die.

      • Arthur
        August 8, 2017 at 12:44 pm

Doomguard for control? Dread infernal isn’t a playable card,do u have brain? Only abyssal and despicable don’t justify playing this card

  19. Imaloony
    August 7, 2017 at 11:58 am

So it’s a N’zoth effect, but minus the N’Zoth body.

The good news is that there are some really good demons to pull with this. Doomguard having charge is huge, Lakari Felhound having taunt is important… but a lot of the good cards are discard cards, which makes it risky to play with this thing.

I’d love if this were the start of a new Warlock deck, but currently trying to wrap my head around it, I’m not sure that I see it.

Turning into Jaraxxus and then back to Gul’Dan will be pretty fun though, that’s for sure.
