Top Standard Legend Decks From Galakrond’s Awakening – Week 6 – March 2020

This week, the main focus was on Battlegrounds. Between 18 new minions (including new Dragon tribe), 7 new Heroes and a bunch of changes, even many Constructed players tried it out. But as much as we love Battlegrounds, we’re still waiting for Hearthstone news – and there’s a lot to wait for!

According to Community Manager Kaeyoh has teased that another big announcement should come “mid-March”. While we don’t know what it means exactly, I suspect either next week or the week after (the latter is more likely, but one can dream). I’m pretty sure that the Standard Year announcement won’t come out later, because there’s still an expansion announcement, then a reveal season (which usually comes 2-3 weeks after initial announcement) etc. There’s still a lot to show and to talk about and the launch of first 2020 expansion is getting closer and closer!

The meta… well, the meta is pretty much the same it was last week. I feel like Highlander Mage is getting more popular on the ladder, which seems kind of weird, given that the deck has a bad matchup vs Dragon Hunter, which is another very popular ladder deck. Other than that, Galakrond Rogue and Galakrond Warrior are still some of the best Tier 1 contestants. It was last week of the February season, so most of players were trying hard to secure a high ladder finisher, mostly picking the trusted and tested decks. Next week we should see more variety, people tend to experiment more when there’s nothing on the line. But the truth is that given that there are no huge outliers in the current meta, we don’t expect any more balance updates. So everything should remain roughly the same way until the new set is out.

Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.

I think there are correlations to why Highlander deck so powerful yet so expensive to craft

The deck usually have 10 or more legendary minions. Makes it harder to switch some card if you don’t have it.

Meanwhile, mobile still having issues and people are losing daily quests. I guess we can expect future patches will be buggy as well.
