The best options are:
Rush + divine shield (5/5 alone)
Rush + windfury
Divine shield + taunt
Flexibility is obviously what gives this card its power.
Divine shield and windfury was used more than divine + taunt. Most people either used siamat to clear one huge minion or set a huge threat on the board. It’s really fun just playing him.
The great thing about this card is you don’t have to use it defensively, you can just divine shield windfury this and you’ve made a huge threat of 12 damage. It’s clearly busted.
Firelands portal dealt 5 and left on average a 5/5. When you pick Rush and Divine Shield, you deal 6 and get a 6/6. Firelands Portal was insanely good, this is strictly better. That’s not even considering the versatility of this. 5/5

this card seems to be the new lich king. just powerful neutral legendary you can put in midrange as high curve card and in control deck

This would be my first legendary to craft if I don’t get it in the packs (or any of the Quests are really broken when live)
4.5/5. This card cannot compare to zilliax in that it lacks the versatility that zilliax has, but in decks that synergizes with it such as elemental decks, or battlecry shaman, this could be great.

Well more bs for shaman to play around, and maybe will have the zilliax effect, not so sure since lack of lifesteal+Taunt if you go for the combo of rush+shield.
Oooooooh new toy for battlecry shaman. Play this turn 9 after quest for big value. This can also help out when do a drop of Shudderwock since it could give him rush to have impact turn summoned.
This card is insane. Sunwalker is okay (not played now but you would be happy getting it when getting a random card). This card coukld be +2/+1 for 1 mana more which is much better. Then u have flexibility and can rush with divine shild which is really awesome. Sees play in many decks. Slithly better then Zilliax imo
This card is really good, will definitely see play in the new highlander/one of decks if those are a thing, for 7 mana you can potentially do 6 damage to 2 minions, or 6 to one and be left with a 6/6.
Needless to say that the rush option is what makes the card good, rush is often like a better version of taunt because you direct the attack. The only time taunt will be taken over rush is if you are against an empty board and you’re afraid of a Leroy to the face. Or a King Krush from the new Hunter legendary, which also comes down on 7.

Haha yeah pretty much, a defensive Al’Akir. Though it’s a 6/ 6 compared to Al’Akirs 3/ 5.
Not like an Al’Akir that can’t go face at all. Al’Akir is 8 mana for a 3/5, this would become a 6/6 for one less mana, and one mana is a lot.
It’s 9 mana if you count the hero power for double battle cry.
I didn’t count the hero power, but you’re right. I just generally tend to not count hero powers like that, or Rexxar and doctor booms mech generating, towards the cost of the card. But I suppose this is different because you are only adding a battlecry and not an entire card to your hand.

Why no link to the reveal video?
I really like this card, it’s versatile, and will be great in the mid-to-late game. As others have said, I’m not sure exactly where it’ll fit, but I think it will be a common card on the ladder.
Now if only there was a class or deck archetype centered around battlecries this next expansion. Maybe a quest that centers around battlecries? And maybe a card that, I don’t know, copies the battlecry of every minion played prior.
But yeah even past shudderwock shaman shenanigans, a 6/6 windfury rush is already a nuts card. The extra versatility of divine shield or taunt is just an added bonus for more situations. So many other classes can combo it with additional synergy. The new 1 mana card Embalming ritual in priest makes this card able to deal up to 18 damage to minions in one turn. Lightforged blessing turns this into 12 damages of lifesteal. Spirit of the shark gives it all 4 effects, and shadowstep/waggle pick allow you to play it a second time for 5 mana. On turn 10 warrior can play this, get rush with one other effect, and after doing damage can use Bloowsworn mercenary to summon a second one.
This card isn’t Zilliax good, and 7 mana might be too steep for many decks, but it is a very good card. 4/5.
For the embalming ritual, I’m wondering if the reborn Siamat would even keep it’s buffs since it’s not printed on the card originally, but given as a battlecry… The Bloodsworn combo should work though since it’s just summoning a copy of something already modified on the field. Reborns probably don’t work that way though.
You are completely right on the reborn not keeping the buffs. Still adjusting to the new mechanics.

This seems like a decent card, with lots of versatility, but I can’t really think of any specific deck this would want to be played in – I think this wants to be played in a slower defensive deck, as it seems like a good removal option with rush, or a defensive option with taunt; but I believe the control decks have better class-card options that do similar things, so again i’m not really sure if this will find a home
Although not quite Zilliax prolific I think we’ll see a lot of this neutral legendary. Also I like that it’s a Djinn.
A certain inclusion to any deck. Versatility is OP.
A really strong and flexible card that can easily fit into any control or value deck
Rush + Windfury = walking fountain with more attack but no lifesteal, enough to kill two 5-cost minion
Rush + Divine Shield = kill a 6-health minion and leave a 6/6/ body, simply a better blazecaller without precondition or a weaker Shirvallah without lifesteal
Rush + Taunt = kill a mid-size minion and leave a taunt (usually 6/3 or 6/2) behind, still acceptable
Taunt+ Divine Shield = Paladin’s A New Challenger, a big taunt stalling opponent’s attack
The flexibility of having the above four options is enough to make it a strong play at turn 7
Don’t forget — if your opponent ISN’T putting enough pressure, you can drop a 6/6 Divine Shield Windfury that they have to somehow deal with or promptly get smorked to death

Why is charge no longer in any of the new expansions.? Charge was so much better than rush, 3/5 overall but I can’t think of any deck to put it in

Because “Charge” is a strong text (perhaps the stronger of the game) and any card with change is good.. Even the bad ones. Aggro decks have 70% lethal with lerroy.. Mindrange hunter kill you with full charge board at the momment too.. Imagine this card to has charge.. Is a very strong text and they dont want to create another broken charge cards and in my opinion that is a good call..
