Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Showdown in the Badlands (Week 9) – January 2024

No matter whether you’ve been enjoying the current meta or not, you have to admit that it’s been pretty stale. It’s been almost 4 weeks since the last balance update. The meta has been pretty much figured out over the Christmas break, so the last 2 weeks have been playing the same decks over and over again. That’s why there’s not much to talk about to be honest. We didn’t have any new, last-minute meta breakers or anything similar. It’s mostly Rogues and Druids, over and over again. And don’t get me wrong – other classes exist and they’re actually doing pretty well for themselves, they just aren’t nearly as popular.

The upcoming mini-set, Delve into Deepholm, will be released on Thursday. We know more than half of the cards already and some look pretty impactful. Will they be enough to impact the meta? Let’s hope so. And if not, I’m pretty sure that Blizzard is preparing a balance patch window shortly after the mini-set in case things go south. No matter what, we should have a fresh meta relatively soon. I just hope for slightly fewer Rogues for Legend players and Druids for non-Legend players.
