Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – The Lost City of Un’Goro (Week 12) – September 2025

As I’ve already said last week, the balance update didn’t really affect the meta that much. The only buff that made a meaningful difference was giving Khelos Taunt. You’ll win many more games now that enemy can’t just ignore the 20/20 and hit you in the face after you break the Egg. In fact, Old Guardian wrote an entier article dedicated to it, where he rounds up the viable and… less viable Egg decks. You can check it out here.

Other than Egg Warlock staying in Tier 2, with roughly 5% popularity in Diamond-Legend, the meta is almost the same as it was for the last few weeks. Well, a couple of months at this point. We’re already almost 3/4 through this expansion cycle but it still feels like it didn’t even properly take off just yet.

Luckilly, if you just want to forget that The Lost City of Un’Goro exists and focus on the new expansion, you won’t have to wait long to see it. The new set was already teased yesterday, hinting at a Monday reveal. Of course, the expansion itself is likely to launch around early November, so there’s still about a month. But at least we’ll be getting some new card reveals to fill the recent news void.

As usual, during the reveal season, I will focus mostly on the new cards. I’ll still try to add some new decks and do those weekly roundups when there’s enough, but honestly, it’s been quite hard finding new things to post. Players share fewer builds when the meta is stale, because it’s not that exciting to showcase Leech Death Knight, Quest Warlock or Fyrakk Rogue for the 100th time. At least there should be an uptick when the new season beings in a few days, but after that, it’s hard to say. So I hope that we’ll still get some balance changes or an event that shakes up the meta in some way.
