Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Across the Timeways (Week 17) – March 2026

I haven’t expected to see any patches until 35.0 (other than hotfixes, of course), but Blizzard surprised us earlier this week with 34.6.2 balance update. The main focus of the update was clearly Battlegrounds, but we also got a few changes in Standard and even Wild.

Well, to be more precise, in Standard we had just a single change – Warmaster Blackhorn no longer removes cards from players’ hands, only decks. Now, it’s still a solid tech card for some scenarios, but it’s no longer an auto-include into slower decks as it was before and you can no longer get rid of half of your opponent’s hand if you play against low curve decks. The nerf did affect a few decks like Control Warrior or Death Knight which benefited the most from this card, but it didn’t have a wider meta impact. Those decks should still be viable (even if a bit weaker).

In Wild, however, the patch had a much bigger impact. Egg Warlock is pretty much gone, Discard/Burn is (as expected) still viable, but it has dropped a few % win rate and it’s no longer as popular, and while you can still technically do Ysiel combos in Druid, you now have to play her from your hand instead of cheating her out, so it removes cards like Barnes from the equation. People need some more time to figure it out, but soon we’ll be hit with a wave of nerf reverts in Patch 35.0, some of which might also make a splash in the Wild (not to mention that the new set is coming very soon).

We’re nearing the end of the reveal season, with only the final reveal stream (hosted by Kibler) left. And it’s gonna be an interesting one, with 24 more cards left to showcase. Of course, with over 2 weeks left until the expansion itself, we’ll still have a bunch of other stuff on the way – theorycrafting streams, Community Days, Pre-Release Brawl, and the Patch 35.0 itself (the one with nerf reverts I’ve mentioned before). We’ll be covering all of that, of course, so stay tuned.
