Zayle, Shadow Cloak is a card from Rise of Shadows. It wasn’t released with the expansion and came with The Dalaran Heist solo player adventure instead.
How Does Zayle Work?
Zayle works exactly like Whizbang the Wonderful, but it gives you one of the five EVIL Decks instead of one of the 18 Deck Recipes.
When you add Zayle to your deck, you can’t add any more cards. Once you select the deck and hit play, you will roll one of the five decks and start the game with it.
Your opponent won’t immediately know that you’re playing a Zayle deck (and he might not realize at all). Your Hero & Hero Power will look normal.
The cool thing is that if you own a Golden version of Zayle, your Hero and entire deck will also be Golden!
How can I get Zayle?
Regular version of Zayle, Shadow Cloak can be crafted for 1,600 Dust.
Golden version is one of the rewards for unlocking all five Chapters of The Dalaran Heist (2,800 Gold or $19.99). You can’t get it any other way.

Stonekeep, can you add what cards was removed? Cause I see new cards, but decks looks similar to previous versions (except it was Control Shaman).

On the plus side: I’m glad they did something. They could have easily have just HoF’ed Zayle and moved on with their lives. On the minus side: it kinda feels like they did the bare minimum–replacing JUST the missing cards–and that none of these decks look are very promising as a result.
I played it for a bit just to test stuff out (since I’m in Bronze anyway and I don’t really care about losing games with 10x multiplier :P) and I have to say that the new decks are bad.
Rogue is okay, I played it once and won once. But it’s still way worse than Galakrond build. I also managed to get a win with Priest (1 out of 2 games). But that was mostly because I got lucky with my curve – T3 5/6 Watcher into T4 Unsleeping Soul carried be when my opponent had no way to answer that. I guess that other decks could also snatch some wins, especially at lower MMR, but they’re still really bad. Didn’t get any wins with other decks and I gave up because it was not fun. Warlock is the worst offender… I seriously don’t know how could anyone win with that deck. I’ve played some Quest Warlock in Saviors of Uldum and so many card choices in this one made no sense.
are they gonna update decks after the release of “Ashes of Outlands” any thoughts?
I don’t think they will, but I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
My guess would be that they will release a new, similarly working card this year too. We had Whizbang in Year of the Raven, Zayle in Year of the Dragon and we’ll probably have something else this year. It would make sense.
They removed the Year of Raven cards from the list, to be playeable after rotation but no AoO cards I supose!
I started using Zayle a few days ago and I’ve won every match I’ve played except when I loaded up with a Warlock deck. I cant figure out the best play style for it. The other decks pretty fun to play. I personally love the priest deck.
I think Zayle is pretty balanced, these are the winrates as by May 28th:
Bomb Warrior: 49.2%
Plot Twist Warlock: 40.1%
Silence Priest: 52.0%
Tempo Rogue: 48.9%
Control Shaman: 49.3%

I think it was better before the Balance update, but it looks balanced and better than Whizbang.
Its easy to beat the noobs that play casual with those decks…
Using those decks in a “casual” game is what I would call cheating. Where’s the victory? It just makes you look like a tool.
Do you think they’re going to allow this in official tournaments? The World Cyber Game’s tournament rules only ban Whizbang and I’m not sure if they’ll be updating the rules once the participants obtain this card.
Here are my opinions of all 5 decks:
MADAME LAZUL – seems like a variation of the “Whispers from the Grave” Whizbang deck, which only has a 40% winrate and is my least favorite WB deck by far. Shadequills are bad for SMORCing, and I don’t think you have the survivability to hold out for Divine Spirit + Inner Fire shenanigans. 1/5
TOGWAGGLE – basically shark tempo rogue but without Pick, Raiding Party, Deadly Poison, Greenskin, or Corsairs. It wouldn’t be so bad except there are so many better tempo rogue decks on ladder, and you’re probably going to lose most mirrors due to the aforementioned. 3/5
HAGATHA – interesting control deck. In the long run it’s probably not as good as current-meta Control Warrior, but between all the healing and Shudderwock potential at least its interesting. 5/5
RAFAAM – Betrug has poor stats on HsReplay, but at least this deck looks interesting and has the potential to pop off. 3/5
BOOM – No Warpath or Brawl so you’re going to struggle against wide boards, no Devastors or Shield Slams so you’re going to struggle against tall boards, and no Omega Assemblies or Elysiana so you’re going to struggle against control decks and mirror matches. Still: it’s bomb warrior. 4/5
Rogue deck missing Pick and Party. Candidates for nerfs? Elisiana is still there, though.
With the exception of Priest, these are some seriously Legendary-heavy decks… which sort of makes Zayle an even better card for F2P players, worth saving up the 2800 gold to buy the single-player content maybe; you get to mess around with cards you might not have in your collection.
… actually, there are 5 legendaries in these decks that I don’t have and I do generally buy the big pre-order packs when a new expansion comes out (though I’ve almost enough dust to craft 10 Legendaries atm).
Priest and Rogue as “aggressive” board oriented decks. Warrior and Shamy pretty decent lists too. At least Tier 2 imo. Warlock is fun meme for right now.
Overall cool lists, close to some meta lists. Making it possible for “new” Players to go for some climbing. Sad that its only 5 Decks. 4/5
I think its an ok set of decks which could get better if some nerfs will be applied after all. At least, tempo rogue seems competitive on ladder right now.
The rouge looks very dissimilar from he average tempo rouge though.
