Batterhead, in practice, is quite a good card. Many players flood their boards with low-cost low-healths, as opposed to one large fighter, and it is very valuable when you can afford the card to clear these off the board. Along with the low-cost cards usually having low attacks also, the high health of Batterhead shines. The price isn’t much a bother, with its main use to limit the other board as much as possible meaning reinforcing your side that turn isn’t a necessity. However, it is usually only good for one or two turns, even with priest buffs, and it is only really useful as a get-out-of-jail-free-card for low-health boards, be that quite an effective use.

Overall, a nice card that can help destroy an opponent’s push and save yourself, but only in certain, somewhat common circumstances. 3/5

Honestly, why is everyone saying this is a bad card? I think this card is awesome!

Combo this with inner fire for nine mana, and instantly clear your opponent’s board, leaving your opponent defenseless against your other minions, also most likely still leaving a twelve attack minion that can attack face next turn. This card would generate massive swing.

That’s only for priest though. But for other classes, it is admittingly hard to use this card. In wild though, in case you face an odd paladin you could pack this to destroy every single Silver Hand Recruit of your opponent.

After first attack can it charge face?

    Good Arena card.

I like how this counters aggro to some extent. It would actually compare this to some sort of AOE spell, due to the fact that it can clear a board of small minions. 3/5

Note: Also not bad in arena

An aggro board clear (hopefully – quite a few taunts have Divine Shield) for board clear-weak classes (e.g. Druid).
Shame it can’t go face after the first attack unlike Sul’thraze. Does Warrior need another board clear in the new Meta? I can’t remember.

Limited neutral 8 mana deal 3 damage to some enemy minions. Arena.

I dont think this will be any good. 1/5.

I really like the Warrior Spirit interaction but that deck (Rush Warrior) has other problems on turns 8/9 than enemy boards ( they should’ve been cleared already).

Besides that, all is said about the card. It’s a decent board clear but not quiet Primordial Drake level. That said, the Drake is premium material, so this should see constructed play.

    Arena card

This card is bonkers for priest. This + inner fire will make 9 mana 12/12 with rush and ability to clear entire enemy board with attack again mechanic and maybe still remain on board as a threat.
    4.5/5

I think the Rush mechanic is wasted on this card. If th e attack were the same as Linecracker. Or the ability as the Linecracker, then this would be a good card. Sadly, it’s just not. Plus, the cost is just lousy for 8 mana.

are you high? this and linecrackers effect combined is obviously totaly OP rush+multiple attacks+doubleing attack on overkill is insane. This card is still good for example for wallpriest.

Batterhead will functionally act as a neutral board sweeper spell (something that hasn’t been see since Corrupted Seer if I remember correctly) and classes that can either buff him for cheap like Druid, or heal him efficiently like Paladin may likely find themselves using this at some point in time. I wouldn’t really expect it to see play in classes like Warlock, Mage, or Priest.

In Arena, this will be an incredible pick but maybe not as good as the likes of Amani War Bear just because of the latter’s higher attack stat.

While it may not prove to be worth crafting, it will be something to look out for while drafting.

Giant Sand Worm couldn’t find its way into the meta as a standalone card.
What makes you think this will? Oh it’s got rush and no class now.

I like that it gives any class a potential, albeit unreliable, board clear option.
If you want this against a minion deck, you’re dead by turn 8.
Not gonna write it off completely yet.

1/5 expensive and unreliable board clear, or potentially 4/5 as an additional board clear.

\ Its like flame strike as a minion for one more mana but for all classes.

        March 29, 2019 at 4:42 pm

Still much weaker than Flamestrike and costs more.
I could see this in a control mage deck that plays both cards though.

A seriously underwhelming board clear option, but could support some Druid, Hunter or Rogue decks. Powerful potential synergies in Rush Warrior with Akali and the spirit, but I still don’t know how that deck finishes off games. Better in Arena 2.5/5

Just when Toxic Arrow could’ve been good…

One of the better uses of Rush minions is to clear Taunt minions to allow your other minions to hit face. With 3 attack, this guy isn’t going to be clearing many taunts on turn 8, though.

It seems best at clearing wide boards of small minions. It sounds like it can be pretty good at that in combination with cards like Spirit of the Rhino and Lightforged Blessing, so this could see play. 3/5

If the rush part only apply to the first attack, then this will be a horror show in wild.

That is the weirdest looking 8 mana board clear i have ever seen. You may compare this to prim drake, But it is not a drake and it is not a taunt and it does not hurt your people.
The 8/8 beast version of this for hunter was a very wellcomed card in arena. 3dmg is preety good. It will not help you clear a big minion that efficiently but a small board is something that it can handle. And it will make your healing more valueable if you use it on this. If you are not dead by turn 8 that is.
The fact that it has no tribe makes it basicly useless outside of arena. But who knows maybe instead of psychic screams priest could run this thing.

This + Inner Fire for Priest is so stupidly powerful.

ANd you thought that Giant Sand Worm was something. How about a 9 Mana 12/12 that has the same text AND with Rush. A Must have for Priest. As for the Others, Yeah, I can see the Complaited, expect for Maybe Paladin with Blessing of Might to make his a 9 mana 6/12.

I think you sadly need to buff the Minion before it can actually do it’s job beucase otherwise it’s just a 3/12 with Rush. It’s great for Clearing out Zoo or Tempo Minions, so it has that going.

Seems to be that the most realistic ways that Battlerhead can be played is with Priest, Paladin, Shaman (If your Desprate), Warrior and Warlock. So, if you could Buff your Batterhead, You are going to have a LOT of Value. The Biggest Problem is that:
1.) It’s not meant for Everyone
and 2.) You HAVE to Buff the Attack somehow to get rid of the more treathening Minions.

The best way to Amp up his Attack is with either Priest Inner Fire, Paladin with Blessing of Might, Shaman with Rocketbiter Weapon (He can have the Combo of Doomhammer with Rockbiter weapon just in case) or Warrior if you can give it Rampage.

Here are some stuff that Batterhead can have Extra along with his Rush and Text:

    Druid:
    10 Mana 5/14 Taunt
    10 Mana 4/13

    Prist:
    9 Mana 3/14 “Battlecry: Draw a Card”

    Paladin:
“8 Mana 3/12 “Battlecry: If your Weapon Overkills, become a 6/15″”
    9 Mana 6/12
    10 Mana 4/14

    Shaman:
    10 Mana 3/12 “Become a 6/12 for this turn”
    10 Mana 5/14

    Warrior:
    8 Mana 5/11
    10 Mana 3/12 “Overkill: Become a 6/15 if you’re damaged”
    10 Mana 5/11 “Battlecry: Summon a 2/2 Cruel Taskmaster”
10 Mana 8/14 “Battlecry: Discard 2 Cards” (Rampage)

    Warlock:
Potentially 9 Mana 5/14 (Becuase of Soul Infusion)
Potential help with Spirit of Bat Varries

    Neutral:
10 Mana 5/14 (Because of the 2 Bananas)

Note: Apologies for the messy writing, and I forgot to add in the 9 Mana 12/12 for Priest, but it was already in front of you face I guess. I don’t know.

You missed the thing that breaks this in warrior Akali turn 8 + spirit of the rhino at turn 9 with this that can be an 8/17 with immunity basically anything your opponent has is dead no questions unless divine shield. And leaves the 8/17 on your field as a threat.

Great effort! I had like 80% of your post in mind when i saw this card. I think there are a lot of ways for each class to play this and maybe even buffing this the same turn! I really like this card. This will be strong in some kind of “put from deck to board” or “put from hand to board” decks. Recruit style or resurrect style decks. Paladin can give this lifesteal. Priest the most obvious one. We should not underestimate this card! 4/5, depending on more support 5/5

mmmm, maybe i’m wrong but i get the feeling that this is one of those cards that ppl are really underrating. It might look weak now that we are acostumed to the year of the raven power level, but things should be very different once the mammoth cards rotate out. I think this will see constructed play, i mean, it doesnt seem that hard to play and buff this minion on the same turn. I’m thinking priest or maybe in Shaman or Paladin.

    March 29, 2019 at 1:52 pm

Priest has best possible use of this also for wild this thing is pullable with oakheart. Sad part is this is coming in after Hunter spellstone rotates. Woulda been a way to stop that card for late game. Top options to play this are priest and warrior just imagine akali pulling this card. 8/17 with infinite rush basically clear a board on it’s own.

Feels like it’s slightly understatted, but probably the most balanced version of this card. I think an 8 mana 4/12 that can attack indefinitely is too strong and lets classes like Rogue or Druid potentially steamroll as they traditionally don’t have good board clear options.

3/12 is definitely underwhelming, and combos with this card are too greedy. Akali buff on this would be the dream, as would combining this with Cold Blood or Rhino Totem or possibly Inner Rage for Rush Warrior.

Shame–it’s a cool concept. Could take off in the future if it gets the right support/maybe a niche in Rush Warrior with Inner Rage. Probably not though; we’ll see.

The only reason you’d want to use this is if your class doesn’t have any other AoE available, and even then probably only if there’s some way to cheat it out.

Or there’s always the highroll with Lady in White! She still has potential, right? Right!??

Kind of Gonkh neutral mechanic. Maybe good in Arena. Looks fun, but not competitive.
