Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Across the Timeways (Week 13) – February 2026

Last week has been incredibly slow. It was really hard to find any decks to post (that’s why there’s fewer of them than usual in this roundup). The reason is most likely a combination of the end of season (many high ranked players who we usually cover were camping their ranks and not playing the game at all, since January counts for the Masters Tour qualification) and an established meta without much room to experiment (the mini-set stirred up the meta a bit, but it’s been almost 3 weeks since then). Next week should be better since I already see a lot of decks being posted at the start of the new season.

As you have probably concluded from the last point, we didn’t see a lot of major meta developments. Imbue Rogue continues to be the most popular deck, although its play rate still keeps slowly dropping. Last week it was 15-20% depending on the ranks, now it’s closer to 10-15%. We didn’t have any major developments, people still use pretty much the same builds, and it’s still a low Tier 2/high Tier 3 deck.

On the opposite side, with a quite significant influx of players, we have Broxigar Demon Hunter. It has now leapfrogged Aura Paladin and became the third most popular deck on the ladder (after Imbue Rogue and Dragon Warrior). There are two main ways to play it, but it seems that one is performing significantly better than the other. “Deathrattle” build (with Blob of Tar + Ravenous Felhunter combo) is winning against “Cycle” build (focused more on card draw and getting to the Broxigar OTK faster). However, it’s worth mentioning that the Cycle version is more difficult to play, and as usual, it’s often preferred by the high ranked players. Demon Hunter in general is doing very well, with Cliff Dive, No Minion and Aggro build also being viable (although not as popular as Broxigar).

The only “new” thing that started getting popular last week is people experimenting with UUB Death Knight instead of the most popular BBU rune combo. BBU builds have slowly morphed from the Control into more Midrange builds based on big tempo plays with Corpses over the last few months (pretty much since Sanguine Infestation got nerfed). And now going UUB seems like the next natural step in that direction – the deck drops the Leech package completely, but it gains Assimilating Blight instead. It’s a very strong 3-drop, and 3 mana is currently a weak spot for Death Knight. Going for double Unholy also lets you run Falric, which doesn’t seem that strong on paper, but the deck DEVOURS corpses, so even getting a few extras from it can be a big deal in the mid game. And even just playing it on 3 without taking immediate advantage of the effect is not that bad because it becomes a high priority target for the opponent which can lead to them changing plans. Of course, classic BBU Leech builds still continue being played (in fact, they are still more popular), but observing how Death Knight evolved over the last few months was quite interesting.

And if you’re looking for a more meme deck, you should probably check out Quasar Rogue. Keep in mind that it’s NOT very good, but if you like that Cycle OTK combo playstyle, it might be right up your alley. The win condition is, of course, playing Quasar and then cycling through your entire deck and OTKing your opponent with Morchie + Chrono Daggers combo. With Morchie on board, Chrono Daggers is 6x 2 damage at the base level, 12x 2 damage if you play both copies. But as you can imagine, it scales incredibly well with Spell Damage (and Ethereal Oracle is a natural fit in this deck anyway).

In more general news, a few days ago, Blizzard has teased some Hearthstone announcements for February 9. Given the timeline, it pretty much has to be either the new Standard Year (+Core Set) or new expansion announcement. No matter which one it is, we should get the other one very soon too – for the last few expansions, they were always within days of each other. While it won’t have any immediate impact on the meta, at least we’ll have something to look forward to and theorycraft. Until then, I hope you enjoy the current meta!
