Jeez, can they push Burn/Medivh Mage enough?
David
Or freeze/quest mage, like mage doesn't already have enough tools to survive/gain random spells/freeze/burn. I forsee a Mage meta for a time and then some mage nerfs :p

Not sure I would run it in a deck, but a great 1-drop draft for arena.
Henceforth
Good for arena.

They try to prepare us for moving iceblock into wild ;)

Good riddance.
Exodia mage has pissed me off to no end this season.
Name (Required)
Wasn't this dude behind Rin the First Desciple?
Wow
Wasn't the demon from kazakus potion behind rin?
Name (Required)
What are these? Voidwalkers? If so why do they look so much cooler here (and in the Kazakus potion)
Meta
This plus ruby spellstone might make exodia mage OP
David
Looks like im another mage player fan boy but the impact on this card is quite potent. Basically, any burn spell also becomes essentially life gain for mage, unaffected by Alex... Im not gonna buy too much into this set but ill surely craft some of the better cards, this being one of them. :) Go Blizzard.

Even though I never play as mage, this is a nice card!
The design of the minion looks like a demon

For the right deck i can see some potential..

Exodia mage tool against iceblock stuff? infinitie dmg= infinitie armour
sober667
oh wait its cost... but base or current? huh so max 10 armour per turn? still wtith expensive spell worth it for shure

Except fireball allways needs a target to be able to cast. Once iceblock proc's you and the board is clear, nothing to gain. Allso if you make fireball cost 0 my guess is you gain 0 armor for each cast.

It worked that way in the "summon a minion with the same cost of the spell you cast" tavern brawl.
so I expect it to be similar

This could be a lot of fun in wild grinder mage decks that use duplicate and echoes of medivh.
flipflop
This + Firelands Portal = mini Ultimate Infestation
Deal 5 damage summon a random 5 cost minion gain 7 armour

I think this card is some tool to mage to survive after ice block going to hall of fame
zarachia
i think you have nailed the prediction !
lowkey
Agreed, but it is still not the same, mage is going to need some sweet cards.

The latest on the game, the better this card can get. I bealieve, starting from turn 8, this can be a broken 1-drop. But is a okay 1-drop at the early game

When shimmering tempest hits the gym.

Dat boi is ripped!

Ice Block going to the hall of fame, confirmed

Can't wait for elemental mage to finally be a thing!
This'll be a core card for any mage deck really.
5 stars.
Chocobo
tier 3 card gets everyone exited.
1 drop that is absolute garbage up to turn 8.
Roberto
Meh.
Waste 2 slots to gain a bit of armour?
No mage deck atm needs it.
Maybe worth thinking of it if ice block really goes to the hall of fame.....
Andrew
The flaw in your logic is, ‘right now’, as if every deck will be the same once this expansion drops.

Turn 8 this card and Flamelands Portal, not good enough? Or the new spellcard that casts random spells when drawn -consistantly gaining 5 armor? Not good enough? With the new Mage legendary, which synnergizes with expensive spells - not good enough?
swz
control/highlander/elemental mage will love this card simply because there isnt a lot of ways to heal. they only have ice barrier, frost lich jaina and alex. I am very sure u play tempo mage so u wont need it
ns2k
5/5 will give you unholy amounts of armour to the point where your opponent will probably mistake you for a Warrior
