Top Legend Hearthstone Decks of the Week – September 2017

The hottest new deck after the nerf is Aggro/Tempo Rogue. Early stats show it is only really weak to Priest and even then the matchup isn’t overly polarizing. The popularity of this deck will likely lower in the near future as the meta normalizes.

Hunter had a big surge in popularity after the nerfs, which made Evolve Shaman get more popular due to its very favored matchup against the deck. Now that Hunter has started to wane in popularity, we’ll see if Token Shaman remains popular.

Razakus Priest will remain a popular deck, it’s only really bad matchup is against Exodia Mage, but that deck is easily hated out by Eater of Secrets and any aggro deck. Jade Druid is another tough matchup for it, but now that it was nerfed a bit it will not see nearly the same amount of play. This puts Razakus Priest in a solid spot and is likely one of the best current decks on the ladder.

Bad news if you aren’t a fan of Jade Druid, it’s very unlikely that the deck is going anywhere. Sjow has been piloting his version of the deck in and out of top 10 Legend.

Priest has a lot of different options that can be played to high Legend. Big Priest requires a bit of high-rolling and will fare better in a meta that doesn’t have a lot of Hunter in it.

Pirate Warrior may have felt the string of the recent nerf, but it doesn’t appear to have brought it down enough to not still be a top deck.

Priest has a few options currently and the least popular of those options is Dragon Priest. This doesn’t mean it’s a bad deck, and it might be a good surprise deck to take to the ladder to throw your opponent’s off their game-plan.
