Combine with Celestial Emmisary and you get a 7 mana flamestrike that also refills your hand.

I’m pretty fond of puzzles so I reckon I’ll enjoy this. The card back reward is not going to be as feel-good to show off as the other solo content rewards given how easy it will be to cheat by looking up the answers on sites like this but the challenge itself should be fun.

No Viscious Scalehide or Argent Commander makes Corpsetaker a bit of a bad choice, I’d have thought. If you draw Al’Akir it’s a 4 mana 3/3 taunt at best.

I like the Brawliseum because it’s a true test of skill. If you’ve got a good deck on ladder it’s just about how much time you have to grind as the law of averages will eventually get you higher. In this format, though, you have to be good to do well and doing well feels really good.

It’s for the competitive types with good decks. Not every brawl has to cater for F2P or new players.

I went 6 wins with Odd Rogue on my free run which is probably a record for me. Only two wins on the second run with Even Shaman, though. I should probably have net-decked that one!

Maybe the new 0 mana AOE could work? I play a lot of Even Shaman in WIld and the Maelstrom Portal is invaluable there. It’s a problem that it hurts your own board but, even with spell power, a lot of your stuff will survive for the healing totem to heal you back up again.

Actions per minute. It’s basically a measure of how quickly you can use the interface to do things!

Kind of like the Mech equivalent of Witchwood Grizzly. Something you want to recruit out or cube.

So why didn’t the second volcano heal? Does it not count as you casting it?

This is a 3 mana 3/3 plus Cinderstorm as long as you have 5 other cards in hand. The average minion stats is offset by the fact that you get both effects for 1 card so I’d call that break even. If you have more then 5 other cards then it’s bonus. There are elemental Mage decks that can get huge hands with Spellstones, Book of Specters, Aluneth. Arundel etc. so in those sorts of deck this could work. Same synergy as Astromancer, of course.

This is Druid. It won’t be turn 7, it could easily be turn 4!

Technically it’s 6/4 stats for 4 and 4 minions for 1 card if you don’t magnetise. In warrior you get automatic rush giving 6 damage for 4 mana (i.e. a fireball).

Most of the new mechs seem to favour health over attack and this can offset that.

Not sure why everyone is so down on this.

Also synergy with board buffs, of course.

I think they move most cards to the hall of fame to open up more possibilities for new expansions but, yes, I doubt it was specifically because of this expansion. I didn’t mean to imply that.

All I’m saying is that this sort of card is great with Ice Lance in Wild. No need to get so nitpicky 😛

Mage has a lot more spell synergy than hunter though. Cheap spells are great with Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Mana Wyrm, Arch Mage Antonidas etc. and there is definitely a Mage spell damage theme in this expansion which really scales well with this and other cheap AOE’s. Plus Hunter is usually too aggressive to want to invest in AOE. That’s more for Control or tempo decks which suit Mage more.

I reckon this will rejuvenate my Flamewaker fireworks deck in Wild too 🙂

I can see why they moved Ice Lance to wild. This plus Celestial Emissary plus Frost Bolt, Ice Lance, Ice Lance = 23 burst!

You’ll need to have kept some card draw, though. 1 pogo-hopper or lab recruiter per round is going to be too slow to snowball much!
