Testing some new cards in the Bomb Warrior Archetype with Azalina Tech
1. 1/3 mech —> Frightened Flunky
2. Militia Commander —> Restless Mummy
3. Acolyte of Pain —> Bloodsworn Mercenary
Azalina deck strategy : Warrior Mirror
1. Play more tempo, more ressources, less draw
2. Copy the Archevist from opponent when you are ahead on the board (track the left side of the hand)
left side : right side of opponent’s hand
ex: if your board is good for a brawl, your opponent did not play brawl and he did not play a card from the left side of his hand, for alot of turns, you can tell it’s a super late game card useless for the moment. Either way, if he has brawl (and he doesen’t play it), he is losing hit points for no reason, so you soulden’t overcommit on the board if he top decks a brawl. In this sense, you can tell it’s most likely : Archivist Elysiana
Why do I have to test for a brawl?
Brawl is the most important one, because it’s THE card you play from behind on tempo and you usually don’t want to bee behind on tempo if you want to play Azalina. You usually don’t play it if you are ahead on tempo. So, It tends to finish to the left side of the hand like Elysiana (a late game card).
How can I tell that my board is good for a brawl?
- Tall board (at least one unkillabale big minion —> opponent will try a 50/50)
- Wide Board (unkillabale by warpath and too wide to clear with rush minions —> too much ressources needed so he brawls if he can)
- Mechs + Wide board (unkillabale by Dyn-o-Matic and rush minions —> needs brawl)
- Treathning lethal on the following turn(s) (bombs, tempo, fatigue)
Note : Sn1p-Sn4p or mechs with magnetic helps alot to build a resilient board state
Usually warpath is more usefull in the matchup, so it’s less likely to be on the far left side of the hand. You can even do a board good against warpath and brawl alone to bee more precise on your opponent’s hand reading (more then 5 health minions)
You can do the same thing for Dyn-O-Matic, Supercollider, Omega devestator, etc. so you basically know what your opponent has in hand over the course of the game.
A deck tracker for hand tracking can be pretty usefull for this reason.
