While the Galaxy isn't a valuable card to have early, it is absolutely devastating to play, and thus I would advice you muligan for it just to ensure it comes online as soon as humanly possible, at least against all but the most aggressive of Aggro. By extension, the Raven Familiar is also just as valuable, if not more so for the early body it adds.

Pyros is a wonderful card to play in any elemental deck, being a low-cost minion at first and staying useful throughout.

Other than that, Elemental mage benefits massively from playing on curve. Look for the appropriate cards to have the best chances of having an on-curve drop every turn, doubly so an elemental.

A hastily put-together theorycraft to try and leverage the new mage legendaries. I went a bit overboard with cost, grabbing anything that could come in handy, so feel free to prune accordingly (or better yet, give me feedback!)

For starters, the main chassis is a standard elemental minion Mage, focusing on the decent midrange elemental package for mage, bolstered by Arugal for the potential draws (which, for reasons explained below, procs with 28 out of the 30 cards) and Frost Lich Jaina for those slow control matches. I avoided Book of Shadows, not only for the reasons below, but because burning Luna’s Pocket galaxy can be a massive blow.

Next, the Luna package. Drawing and using the Pocket Galaxy is a huge boost on its own, but paired with Luna herself, lets you  draw and play your minions at a massive pace. To that end, we want to draw it as soon as humanly possible, thus the lack of other spells and the Raven Familiars. At 7 mana, it is very likely to be jousted in, meaning that a tenth of your draws is, or brings to you, the Pocket Galaxy. The Curio Collector is also added along with this package, as the rate at which you draw at full swing will make it massive (and even if you don’t get to full swing, Arugal and the elementals can help it).

Finally, the rate at which you can burn through your deck made me venture for a last resort addition of Mecha’Thun and the two Ticking Abominations. At a possible 1 mana cost, using him even as a beatstick isn’t a terrible price, but its biggest value is as a finisher for a massive-stall enemy *cough*taunt druid*cough*. At a much more manageable 1 mana, it can be paired with a Voodoo doll for an easy disposal, or if need be, a pair of Ticking Abominations. If one is missing any health, the other’s deathrattle finishes it off, for a chain reaction of 10 damage to your minions, just enough to kill Mecha’Thun (and anything else you might have).

All in all, this deck won’t get you any ladder scores, but if you’ve got the right cards or an obscene amount of dust, it should be quite functional (and dare I say enjoyable). And failing that, maybe someone better than me can prune it into something worthwhile?
