Setting up as much card draw early on as possible is necessary.
Primary choice should be Serrated Tooth for giving Ticket Scalper Rush early on for more card draw and board control.

Land a “Shadow of Death” spell on a pirate early to load extra free pirates into your deck for high damage cannon barrages.
Archmage Vargoth is for loading more pirates, or recasting Cannon Barrage.
Sharkfin Fan and a 0-Mana Dread Corsair are good targets for Shadow of Death since they are cheap and Sharkfin Fan will summon more pirates for deadlier cannon barrages later.
