Its really nice with witchwood grizzly, rush and often on big enemy minions. Spell damage is nice as well with the draw spells. This card won me many games, it forces you to play miracle if you want to make it work tho

An extra component to the lackluster Deathrattle Rogue. Targeting a Reborn taunt minion ain’t to shabby as well.

Honestly this onto Zilliax might give rogue what it needs to go longer games.

This card is too slow and greedy. I’d rather play the original because i don’t have to wait for a good minion to be played first. I’d rather waste my turn for the prospect of future 4/4s as you’d usually have to wait till turn 6+ for this to even be better. If you play this in you’re rouge deck you will get out-tempoed but control decks and die.

This is definitely a mid-late game card whatever you tag you’ll want it to be better than a 4/4 minion deathrattle cards and reborn adds more value potential. Also anyone else realize what happens if you use this with Elekk that’s 6 copies of a minion summoned to field when drawn. This card will definitely be experimented with and a deck that can troll this card would be a meme Highkeeper Ra deck.

Would want to take this to wild tag a Lich King and then make it walk the plank. How’s that for value 8 Mana to do it but would have 3 8/8 Lich Kings in deck that summon when drawn.

Now the thing I’m wondering though it says choose a minion and summons a copy. Could that mean it might work like faceless. I say this because when one person uses deck buffing cards and the other uses a card to get copy from deck that copy has the buffs as well. So this could be a ridiculous card against a deck that focuses a lot on buffing a single minion. Get 3 copies of buffed up version into deck and then use a removal get opponents card off the board.

I just see a powerful Midrange and Control Card, but it can also be used to make some Leeroys and Argent Commanders, too. I do like it, but it needs help from Preparation, in my opinion. 3 Stars.

Remember Faldorei Strider? Yeah, this is not even the shadow of that card. Pun intended.

Take note of first line choose any minion you could tag a 10/10 minion with this shuffle 3 copies in your deck that summon to field when draw then use removal on the 10/10. This is just a form of best case scenario but as long as pick a card bigger than 4/4 or has deathrattle/reborn this card has ridiculous value.

It can be a late game tool (Rogue has enough of that, and most of it sucks because it’s a Tempo class). I would definitely rather play a card that gives me immediate board presence and also has reasonable bodies shuffled in the deck regardless of what’s on the board.

    Any minion.

A lot more fun and potential to nab opponents goodies. 4/5

4 mana, requires a good minion on board, no immediate impact. It’s cool but I still think Pogo Bunnies are the most unbeatable late game if you want to go that route. No deck can beat unlimited Pogo Bunnies if you can survive long enough to cast them. There is no outlasting Pogo Bunnies.

I don’t think this will count towards your pogo tally, since that card explicitly says “each other Pogo-Hopper you PLAYED” while this says summon. And since its a summon, it won’t trigger battle-cry. So probably not for pogos; moreso good deathrattle minions like Cairne.

I understand, it wouldn’t work on Pogos because it doesn’t trigger any battlecries. My point was that this type of card leads to a longer type of Rogue game if you want to get value of drawing the 3 copies. And if you are doing a longer type of Rogue game, you would be better served doing the Pogo bunnies route. Basically this card and others could lead to a strong Rogue late game deck, but I still don’t think that deck would be better than Pogo bunnies for a late game Rogue deck. IMO pogo bunnies can outlast any other deck so it’s the ultimate outlast deck, so if you’re playing Rogue any other type of late game than Pogo bunnies would be inferior, though maybe more consistent.

New legendary that makes 1/1 deathrattles + doctor is pretty potent since the copies will be 8/8(should be) Even on turn ten welp would be decent against warrior.

Ok, so they didn’t fire the guy who named the card “Dark Whispers” from the Old Gods set.

This has serious value, playing this on any deathrattle minion is actually quite insane. I’m going to love cheating out 3 Kel’Thuzads in Wild. 5/5

Well, we had the nerubian ambush that was a cheaper spell with average minions (4/4 being a decent body in rogue), then we got fal’dorei ambush and that one was playable because the 4 mana 4/4 was a fair play and the spiders were bonus, i guess this card goes to my pile of fun rogue cards that sucks because rogue is not allowed to survive outside of tempo.

Don`t get me wrong, but the name of this card…damn. Sounds like a cheesy garage one-week teenager heavy metal band.

Fal’dorei Strider was amazing because it gave you a 4/4 body on top of the shuffled Nerubians. This card requires more setup (need to have a good minion you want to copy on the board), and it has no immediate effect. It has potential, but it’s just so slow. 2/5

It looks full of potential on the surface, but sadly as a committed Rogue I know it can be hard to find the time to reap benefits out of a card like this, no matter how good they may be. The same problem exists with Academic Espionage. Even though this one is much more consistent, it only shuffles 3 copies. Without significant synergy this is going to be a tempo loss that may expose Rogue to great risks. I’m unsure yet. I’d give it 3/5 for potential but as of its viability it is going to be a 2/5 for me unless we get some sort of support to make it work (in the draw, tempo or Hero durability departments that is).

      July 29, 2019 at 4:32 am

I love it though. It’s just, the mana cost and absence of immediate effect is a big deal for Rogue, this is what I’m afraid of.

I feel you there, but hey, blizzard say we can always prep this and all the other spells so is a 2 mana play, hah.

I think we need to see the rogue quest and if the button can provide enough value. This maybe a ridiculous card because of cards like valeera and rexxar.

    July 29, 2019 at 3:15 am

It will surely suck because of prep nerf…

  19. July 29, 2019 at 3:13 am

This looks really, really interesting. A plot twist deck might, just maybe, become meta if you can consistently cast this on large enough minions (your own or the enemy’s). If that happens, this card is carrying it. 5/5

24 possible charge damage with Leeroy:
Shadowstep novice engineer then use Myra’s and next turn Leeroy + this + engineer = 24
    Not bad at all

      July 29, 2019 at 5:19 am

Note that if you burn the Leeroys they won’t be summoned, so you’ve got to have a small deck and hand for that to work out, but yeah, that’s actually a fun idea

    July 29, 2019 at 2:45 am

So you use the 7 1/1s to summon a 20/20, then prep this (=9 cards in hand) for a delayed total of 80 damage minimum. Ez clap

Oh wow.. That’s… pretty insane honestly. Sadly this is Rogue we’re talking about so it can be hard to stay in the game until you can build anything substantial with this card.

I’d compare this to Espionage directly, yes espionage shuffles random cards that don’t cast right away but they’re 1 mana aka almost free and still trigger battlecry. The big advantage Shadow of Death has is that you can actually choose what you shuffle in your deck but that also restricts it to minions and you need to have one on the field. You can also shuffle extra copies via Elekk which is neat.

Best things to copy with this are strong deathrattle minions like mechanical whelp and of course minions like Leeroy that combo out for lethal. The only real problem is that Rogue has hard times getting there.. Maybe a combo of some sort will rise up eventually, for now it’s a solid 3.

Get a coin from the rogue spell “Wanted” upon summoning Highkeeper Ra, cast preparation then use this spell to shuffle coppies of Ra in your deck then cast Myra’s stable element on your next turn. HELLFIRE’S RAGE! EXODO FLAME!!!

    • Lluadian
      July 29, 2019 at 9:00 am

Wouldn’t need coin prep makes this a 2 cost it cost 7 to summon Highkeeper Ra so what actually happens is you can use coin OR prep with this card.

Ambush Card, but with a copy of minion instead of 4/4 body? I’m in.
but wait, it doesn’t trigger battlecry. So, not so much. 3/5 Star.
