Can someone explain to me how Azalina beats Togwaggle?

I suppose you copy your opponent’s hand after he copies yours, so you get 2 ransom cards

Are the MC techs still worth it? Feel like crowley and zola might be better in that slot

I also replaced second mct for zola, gives me more flexibilty.. also tinkmaster is a bit more risky but fun and sometimes clutch tech

Yeah, I played with those 2 a bit as well, absolutely agree. Right now I run the two i mentioned above because I drew Crowley in gold right after I wrote this. He’s also just fun as a card and I think in some situations underrated, so I’ll keep experimenting!

cause hatchlings (assuming you and your enemy draw the exact same amount of cards you can get +4cards via hatchlings+ manips), cause ziliax, cause copying enemy threats such as LK before you remove them. it’s a very versatile card for ctrlwarri, it used to be a “at least 1 of” pre boomsday.
you can drop one and instead play zola for the synergies with your battlecryminions.

    Why Azalina?

Azalina helps in hunter matchups to try to grab the death stalker Rexxar, it is also a good late game value tool for the longer matchups.

you have alot of tech-cards in this deck that don’t realy do much in certain matchups, azalina helps you get away with that, also great vs shudder

Azalina often single handedly wins you matchups like Maly or Toggwaggle Druid and can create insane value late game in control matchups. (Often snatches you 2 spellstones against zerek priest, can completely wreck hunter by stealing rexxar or a handful of zombeasts and lets you vastly overplay your hand in mirror, since you can always snatch your opponents).

How do you manage to steal rexxar? i mean if they have it before 6 they always play it on curve right before azalina on 7, and if they topdeck it they play it right away. Is there any way you can make the read they have rexxar in hand and didn’t play it to go maybe for a cube turn or something else?

People have tons of reasons not to play Rexxar right off the bat, one of them is the battlecry which can be great for removing minions or weaken them for a turn 8 Rexxar + Explosive Trap, other times it’s just not viable or that useful yet if things are going well enough as is. stuff like that.
