General Mulligans

Generally, you just want to start contesting the board with 1 and 2-drops as early as possible. Keep Extra Arms if there is any of other four cards already in opening hand.

Against aggresive decks, you might want to keep Forbidden Words (against bomb hunter and shamans).

Mass hysteria is good keep against mages to counter their conjurer's calling.

Mass dispel is good keep against mechs (especially bomb hunters and mech paladin, partially token druid).

After experimenting a bit, I created this version of midrange deathrattle priest deck that seems to be surprisingly strong in the current meta. So far I am climbing easily with it with 67% winrate (20W/10L; 30 total) and am hoping to reach legend with it.

Matchups

From my experience, it felt like no matchup was impossible to win. My winrate for each of the matchups is stated in the brackets.

  • I am farming bomb hunters (4W/1L), warriors (3W/0L) and token druids (3W/1L) with it.
  • I would say that mech paladin (2W/1L), overload shaman (1W/1L), murloc shaman (1W/0L) and rogue (1W/1L) are around even.
  • Mages are usually not a problem, with the hardest being freeze mage since they can freeze your biggest deathrattle treats. However, since deathrattles can be triggered with Mass Hysteria while clearing their giants board, they are usually not a problem (I went 3W/1L against them).
  • This decks weakness seem to be Holy Wrath paladin with plenty of healing and stalling tools (1W/1L), midrange hunter, especially if they get to play their “I Win” card Zul’Jin (1W/2L) and control shaman due to healing and 4 silences hex/earth shocks (0W/1L).
