these are the general mulligans. when playing expired merchant, try to aim for mountain giants for max value - BUT BE CAREFUL; expired merchant takes the discounted value of giant, so wont discard giant if it costs less than something else
Got the Warlock quest as my free quest at the start of SoU expansion. As a free-to-play player, thought I would try to make a budget(ish) deck.
Deck works by outlasting your opponent by shuffling tons of extra cards into your deck through augmented elekk and plot twist, before throwing down a ton of big threats when your quest is completed.
Unfortunately, the only expensive cards (Epics) in this deck are fairly hard to replace:
- Augmented Elekk CANNOT be replaced – it’s needed to pull of your combo
- Mountain Giant is just too powerful in this sort of deck – works with expired merchant, great card to pull from quest and a great early game tool since your hand will often always be full. Can be replaced with a budget big minion (another deranged doctor etc.) but deck wont work as well
