Hi everyone!

I want to share my experience with Wildfire / Mordresh mage.

There are two main versions of the archetype now: a low-curve light version and a big spells heavy one.

I tested both and in my opinion they are not optimal.

I think the right deck is a combination of this versions that takes advantage of strong cards and gets rid of weak ones.

So here is my view.

With this deck I got to legend this and last seasons (currently top 550 EU).

The card that really strong in my opinion and should be always played is Grey Sage Parrot

Last patch it was buffed from 8 to 6 mana and now it’s actually a decent card.

Among the mentioned versions only the heavy one uses Parrot with the attempt to maximize its potential with big spells.

Most of the big spell decks run Rune of the Archmage and I think it’s not a good card.
Often it only messes things up. It’s too random for a competitive deck. Sometimes it does nothing for so much mana paid.

I removed Runes and Mass Polymorph. It’s a tech card against paladins mostly.

In this way we have only two big spells: Arcane Overflow and Mask of C'Thun but both are decent and it’s good repeating them with Grey Sage Parrot.

Parrot becomes kinda like Reno the Relicologist with pros and cons.
You can deal with enemy board, damage face or/and summon a minion.

The best scenario case when you play both masks, repeat them with parrots/Magister Dawngrasp and play Mordresh Fire Eye to deal in total up to 60 damage. Basically it’s six Pyroblast.

Removing the rune makes Deepwater Evoker a bit worse. Besides, Multicaster seems to be a better card draw anyway. Due to it some cheap spells are added as well as Snowblind Harpy removed. Armor’s good mostly against hunters.
