Mulligans

Midrange Hunter is a pretty popular archetype right now, and I think a beast-heavy version will be viable in the Rumble.

—–The Early Game—–

Springpaw seems like a pretty good one-drop, but it’s weak body worries me a little. The early  game can be important for midrange decks, depending on the opponent, and this dies to literally everything with damage. I’m hoping this cat will perform, but we’ll have to wait and see!

The other obvious beast turn one is  Dire Mole. Nuff said

Revenge of the Wild has a lot of potential. I think what’s important to remember with this card is that even though you can summon seven minions for two mana, that will likely never happen. I think this card will shine bringing back 1-3 beasts, which is still really good for the cost. Minions with rush and charge are also really good, so I’m considering adding  Unleash the Hounds for a sick five mana combo.

I’m also not certain about good ‘ole Bearshark. I was pretty skeptical when I first saw this abomination, but I think he finds his place against control, being un-targetable.

And finally, the reason for the deck:  Master's Call. Like  Omega Assembly but with a deck building restriction, this card can add insane value into your hand, and put real pressure on your opponent, especially if they just used a board clear. Since all but three of the minions in the deck are beasts, you’ll be expecting three cards more often than not.

—There are some cards this deck could use, that  Master's Call would invalidate ( Firefly, for example) so we’ll have to see if it’s worth the sacrifice.

—–Wait, those aren’t Beasts—–

The only non-beast minions are the two houndmasters, and for good reason. Regular brand  Houndmaster is a great tempo play, adding a 4/3 body and +2/+2 Taunt. New and improved  Houndmaster Shaw lets you take control of combat immediately with every other minion you play. I think these two might be necessary, but again, we’ll have to wait and see.

—–Substitutions—–

Like I said earlier, I’m thinking about  Unleash the Hounds to combo with  Revenge of the Wild and to combat those pesky Odd Paladins.

I’m also toying around with  Lifedrinker instead of  Eaglehorn Bow. They do similar things, but the bug costs one more while granting you the life back.

Also keep in mind that I’m posting this before either of the Hunter legendary’s are spoiled

Let me know if you think of other cards that could be good/better in this deck!

imho cut at least 1 houndmaster.
3 non beast in 17 creatures and you draw 3 half of the times
2 non beast and you draw 3 70% of the times. There might be some good alternative in the next reveals. Or just put a dire frenzy

Just like I said in my comment replace the houndmasters with dire frenzy, hard to replace Shaw but I’m going to have to replace Shaw as I’m not crafting him, if anything zilliax is my next craft

I think Dire Frenzy could replace houndmaster, I’ve been playing around with it in my midrange hunter and it seems to be nice especially on charge minions, I don’t have Shaw so it could be even better with him there too

That’s a great idea! That would also work well with master’s call
