Mulligans

General Mulligans

Emerald Spellstone: This is the butter to the bread, the earwax to your candle. You always want this in your hand on turn one. 12/12 of creatures on turn 6 is a powerful choice. If playing against mage, be weary of the counterspell.

Wandering Monster and Venomstrike Trap are strong opening secrets because of their combo effect.

Plated Beetle with Crackling Razormaw is a great opener. Especially turn 1 with coin into turn two.

Aggro Mulligans

Factoring in your 1 cost hero power.

Midrange Mulligans

Hunting mastiff i usually play turn 6 or 8 to bait out a board clear, or ill play them to clear a pesky creature, or just overwhelm my opponent.

Welcome to Shrek’s Even Spell Hunter! The fun new way to keep them pesky players out of your swamp! This deck uses secrets, small creatures, and removal with a 1 cost hero power to control the board and apply constant pressure in the early game then win with cards like emerald spellstone and zul’jin, its incredibly fun, constantly being updated, and works well against meta-dominant hunter decks! Ive been climbing rank with it!!

UPDATE: Big changes happening to the deck. I’ve gutted the endgame creatures like katarina for more constant pressure, like plated beetles and crackling razormaw. I’ve been finding that without those creatures to keep pressure or trade, when it comes time to play emerald spellstone, sometimes it was too late or they had the removal to clear board. Keeping board presence early-mid game is important with this deck.
