It’s the classic Secret Mage, but with less secrets (only Counterspell and Flame Ward ) and that’s because you get so many secret on average and Arcane Keysmith can give you the secret you want at the time you want it without ruining your drawing with pretty useless secrets on early game as Splitting Image.
Dune Sculptor. This card can really shine with the already low mana cost spells in the deck, and with the random spells Mana Cyclone is generating. The majority of Mage Minions is pretty good, as another Mana Cyclone or Arcane Keysmith , Archmage Antonidas , Astromancer a good card to have especially when you get so many generated cards so you have a large number of cards in your hand (at least 5 to 6), Kalecgos etc. In addition it has a decent body of 3/3 for 3 mana. So its worth playing!
Most of the time you will have an active secret so Sunreaver Spy is a good addition with its 3/4 body for 2 mana when a secret is up, and on the other side Cloud Prince one of the best single target dmg battlecries removing nearly anything that stands in between you and the face of your opponent.
Kirin Tor Mage can be really useful especially in the new generated secrets. A good aggressive body of 4/3 with the addition most of the time of a secret to support it? Do you need more to include just one of that long forgotten card? I’m not and she is worth trying.
Blizzard and Flamestrike are here to help you in your hard times against aggro and when Flame Ward is not a good option.
Kalecgos it will always be a good card in any mage deck. He is durable and prolly gonna live for a round or two so combined with the finished quest he can be a game changer.
And the most important path. Do not play Flame Ward recklessly. Play it when the board is on the point you want to clear it. Its not a card that is supposed to be played on curve but some times it may be needed to be the combo card for Arcane Flakmage, Sunreaver Spy or Cloud Prince.
