Deck Import

Hey everyone! First of all I must say that I don’t have this deck made yet and I’m submiting this here to ask for advice and ways to improve it before I invest my dust on it. I’ve been theorycrafting about a discard deck since the reveal of High Priestess Jeklik and got really hyped about it.

After watching some people playing with many  differente versions of the discard warlock I decided to stick with this one, but made some modifications of my own. I decided to build it based on the cards that I already have so I don’t have to spend much dust on it. As a matter of fact, right now the cards that are missing are Lakkari Sacrifice , Clutchmother Zavas , The Soularium , 2 copies of Cataclysm and 1 Soulwarden . (It’s roughly 6000 dust)

MODIFICATIONS I’VE MADE

So, the original deck (that unfortunately I don’t know who the author is so I can’t give them credit) ran 2 copies of Howlfiend and Blood-Queen Lana’thel. I decided to change it for 2 Soul Infusion because:

– Soul Infusion has the potential to make Jeklik into a 4 mana 7/8 with Taunt and Lifesteal and, since she keeps any buffs she receives when her effect triggers, I think it’s a really good combo. Of course, you need to be lucky with this one and it’s the ideal scenario, but overall I think Soul Infusion is a powerful spell that can make any of your other minions more powerful so it’s automatically way more reliable than

– Howlfiend. To me this minion is too erratic to be played without much caution, even adding the possibility to discard your own quest reward – so why would I run 2 of it? The only scenario that I think it’s worthy to play it is when your hand is already full of Jekliks and every hit will just safely add more value to it. Besides, Quest lock now have many other discard tools that are way better than it, so Howlfiend right now is a bit lackluster just like

– Blood-Queen Lana’thel. I know she can get really powerful as long as I keep discarding, but I think she’s not that reliable. In my opinion she’s too vulnerable to silences and removals and can even get discarded herself in the process of completing the quest and adding value to your hand trhough Jeklik. Since she is a legendary she’s also really expensive so I think that there are other much needed cards to this deck that I still don’t have like Clutchmother Zavas and The Soularium. Since I already have Bloodreaver Gul’dan I decided to put him instead of her cause I think he kinda fills the same spot of a powerful-card-that-can-be-discarded-accidentaly but he actually adds more late game potential since 7 of the minions with discard effects here are demons.
