Deck Import

My second version of a C’thun the Shattered Warlock deck for wild. This version of the deck works surprisingly well and is a lot of fun to play with. The deck aims to repeatedly board clear and stall an opponent out until it can play all four pieces of C’thun the shattered.

A surprising key piece of the deck which allow us to win many more games than we normally would is Alextraza. setting our opponents health to 15 the turn before we play C’thun (or the same turn using hero power and luck/Polkelt) means that we don’t really need to damage our opponents as much as we would have to normally because C’thun can hit your opponents minions.

Running Alextraza (a large 9 mana dragon which will sit in your hand for a while) also enables with the help of netherwings to run a small dragon package. The lifesteal off of nether breath has saved the game for me multiple times, and having that little extra AOE in crazed netherwing is actually quite nice against aggro decks, allowing you to keep a 5/5 afterwards to trade with what they play next.

There is a fun thing you can do with Polkelt, which is the main reason why he is in this deck. After completing your quest, you can play Polkelt and tap to get a 0 mana Alextraza or a 0 mana C’thun, meaning you can play both on the same turn. Both Alex and C’thun on the same turn means against decks which gain life (mainly looking at reno decks), they don’t have a chance to recover health from their cards and are forced to take a C’thun at 15 hp, which almost always will win you the game. It usually only takes one plot twist to complete your quest, meaning the second one can be used to shuffle your Alex back into your deck to hopefully combo with Polkelt. Polkelt is also good against the occasional albatross res priest.

The deck has a surprisingly good matchup against aggro and a fine matchup against board based control decks and big decks. The only deck so far I have consistent;y lost to on every occasion is armour warrior, as they have too much health for C’thun to break through. I am really enjoying this deck, and while it might not be the most competitive deck out there, it is certainly my new go-to deck for having some fun in casual mode.
