Deck Import

 I’ll explain the name first…

This deck is a quest/deathrattle/dragon/egg … I feel like the egg is the beginning and the deathrattles are the end, and it is dragon focused… so ouroboros! the never ending “dragon”.

This deck has been fun to play and has great matchups against other priests, most aggro decks (unless they curve really well and you miss duskbreaker) and cube is 50/50. (I might tech against cube rather than jade by switching out skulking geist for a mass dispel, although geist also hurts cube a bit).

The deck is very versatile and can go from control style play to midrange aggro play depending on the matchup and draw.

– with coin keep: Devilsaur Egg Mirage Caller first, followed by Barnes Duskbreaker

– without coin keep: Loot HoarderNetherspite Historian Duskbreaker

– Egg synergy: Twilight's Call Devilsaur Egg Mirage Caller Duskbreaker Cobalt Scalebane are all ways of abusing your eggs. Eggs are great in current meta with this package as they wreck explosive runes, most priests don’t steal them due to lack of steal or nothing to do with it and they are great AOE protection. Even playing an egg followed by duskbreaker gives you an 8/8 board and often leaves your opponent empty. Its great to be revived by twilight’s call and is a solid target for mirage caller (who can be used late game as well).

– Dragon synergy: This stuff is already known, so I won’t go in to detail

– Deathrattle synergy: Awaken the Makers Loot Hoarder Twilight's Call Devilsaur Egg Mirage Caller Barnes Spiritsinger Umbra Carnivorous Cube Bone Drake Obsidian StatueDeathwing, Dragonlord N'Zoth, The Corruptor. It is quite easy to pop your quest in this deck due to twilight’s call, and the quest is actually key to why this deck has been competitive. Many combo decks can’t reach far enough to do the 40 dmg (anduin combo and cube). Most hunters concede after the 40 life total goes up.

– Card advantage: Netherspite Historian Drakonid Operative Bone Drake and sometimes Carnivorous Cube hitting a drake, these four in combo with resurrected bone drakes from twilight’s call always keep your hand filled with enough bombs throughout the game that you often outlast other control decks.

Ideal games:

With coin:

T1: quest     T2: Coin + Devilsaur Egg     T3: Mirage Caller on the egg     T4: Barnes

Without Coin:

T1: quest     T2: Loot Hoarder or Netherspite Historian (if holding a dragon)

T3: Devilsaur Egg or Mirage Caller on loot     T4: Barnes or Duskbreaker depending on mathchup

    Great deck!

Have played only 4 games yet and won 3 of them. I like the fact of using the Quest to take anduin for the long run in combo with n’zoth.
Got tired from the main meta decks.

    Thanks for sharing!

Also a Nice synergy: Cube on egg gives the 5/5 and 2 new eggs when Cube dies.
Mirage call the Cube to get four eggs :)) pop them with dragon fire of duskbreaker.

      Glad you’re enjoying it.

I’m all about finding the odd deck that works and can be tier 1.1!

I think so yes. I mean in the end it is a unique card that can’t be mimicked, but at the same time, it can be considered a “win more” card. I find i most often use it later game in combination with twilights call or an egg or very late game with a cube.

I don;t have a specific/ideal replacement… I’d say tech would be a good replacement based of your meta and rank.

Is there any other card other than Deathwing?

I’ve been considering removing deathwing. He has won me some games, but he’s also been a “win more” or dead card in my hand. He is also discoverable using netherspite as an option (although i prefer to search for duskbreaker and drakonid)

I would consider adding tech first, depending on your meta… mass dispel for cubes, nerubian unraveler vs priest (although this could take the skulking geist slot), i might even consider mindbreaker to slow down combo priest for a turn.

I also toyed around with one copy of psychic scream for games against cubelock, so that could be an option. Or if you are facing a fast aggro meta, perhaps a copy of shadow word horror (which synergizes with your eggs)

Last option would be to put in another bomb or run deathknight…

        Thanks for the reply!

Let me tell you that this deck is really fun to play!

I think I go with either Mass Dispel o Spychic Scream
