I’ll explain the name first…
This deck is a quest/deathrattle/dragon/egg … I feel like the egg is the beginning and the deathrattles are the end, and it is dragon focused… so ouroboros! the never ending “dragon”.
This deck has been fun to play and has great matchups against other priests, most aggro decks (unless they curve really well and you miss duskbreaker) and cube is 50/50. (I might tech against cube rather than jade by switching out skulking geist for a mass dispel, although geist also hurts cube a bit).
The deck is very versatile and can go from control style play to midrange aggro play depending on the matchup and draw.
– Egg synergy: Twilight's Call Devilsaur Egg Mirage Caller Duskbreaker Cobalt Scalebane are all ways of abusing your eggs. Eggs are great in current meta with this package as they wreck explosive runes, most priests don’t steal them due to lack of steal or nothing to do with it and they are great AOE protection. Even playing an egg followed by duskbreaker gives you an 8/8 board and often leaves your opponent empty. Its great to be revived by twilight’s call and is a solid target for mirage caller (who can be used late game as well).
– Dragon synergy: This stuff is already known, so I won’t go in to detail
– Deathrattle synergy: Awaken the Makers Loot Hoarder Twilight's Call Devilsaur Egg Mirage Caller Barnes Spiritsinger Umbra Carnivorous Cube Bone Drake Obsidian StatueDeathwing, Dragonlord N'Zoth, The Corruptor. It is quite easy to pop your quest in this deck due to twilight’s call, and the quest is actually key to why this deck has been competitive. Many combo decks can’t reach far enough to do the 40 dmg (anduin combo and cube). Most hunters concede after the 40 life total goes up.
– Card advantage: Netherspite Historian Drakonid Operative Bone Drake and sometimes Carnivorous Cube hitting a drake, these four in combo with resurrected bone drakes from twilight’s call always keep your hand filled with enough bombs throughout the game that you often outlast other control decks.
