Oh, how do I begin..

When Shadows first released, all I could think about was Jepetto and how to make him work.

I present, Valeerabuzz!

The “main” goal of the deck is to play Jepetto to draw 2 cards costing 1 and play them, of course. The main attraction is the cards that benefit each other, AKA combos.

  1. Hakkar, the Soulflayer + Archivist Elysiana: Playing Hakkar and following it by Archivist Elysiana ensures there is no corruption in your deck whilst your opponent dwindles away over turns. The Archivist also excels at removing bombs from your deck, a common archetype among Warriors. Necrium Vial is there to double its deathrattle before playing the Archivist.
  2. Myra’s Unstable Element + Chef Nomi / Dollmaster Dorian: Myra’a Unstable Element works great with Dollmaster Dorian – potentially creating a board full of crazy minions. Chef Nomi is another win-con since a lot of board clears (especially from mage) rotated out and almost all classes struggle with finding solutions to wide spread big creatures.
  3. Gral, the Shark + Necrium Vial : A way to tutor for creatures since Elven Minstrel rotated out. Also, “consuming” Ysera, for example creates a huge body on turn 5 easy. Silence is not a thing anymore, right?

Other notes:

  • Daring Escape is just a cheaper non-minion Young Brewmaster.
  • Shadowstep should be used to play a minion, then return it to your hand 2 mana less. It is effectively an Innervate just for that creature.
  • Barista Lynchen can be  used to return return anything, but the main target is Jepetto.

Win cons:

  1. A full board with Chef Nomi played after the Myra’s Unstable Element
  2. Hakkar (works great when it is 1 mana and Necrium Vial is used on it) followed by the Archivist Elysiana
  3. Ysera surviving for 3 turns 🙂
  4. Unanswered 5th turn Gral
