So this is my 3rd iteration of the Shudder Shaman Deck. I’ve made sure this time that the deck name is funny, and the possible OTK, or at least Win Condition, is included. Why have I tried so hard you ask? Well I like gold and blue and Shaman is gold and blue…word is bond.

So if you haven’t looked into the OTK of Shudderwock , let me run through it briefly with ya:

1. You want to have played Saronite Chain Gang, Murmuring Elemental, Fire Plume Harbinger before it, and Grumble, Worldshaker by the time you play Mr. Wok.

2. Step one is important and kind of most important but you also want to play “non-target” burn cards. It evaded my thoughts but Lifedrinker is really really good with Wok. It heals just you and damages just your enemy (no random target). Play burn cards that’ll bypass annoying fat danguses like Voidlord. ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)

3. You’ll either have a zero cost Murmuring for a 10 mana turn with Wok or a 1 cost Murmuring if you couldn’t get him reduced enough. Save this cheap Murmuring.

3. Play Murmuring right before Wok, now loaded with burn, healing, board clear and utility. Wok will ideally deal 12-18 damage (maybe doubled) for almost always a OTK.

So with that being said. Why do I have certain tech cards? One part of the answer is I started making this deck before researching the OTK. I was on the right track as soon as I started thinking about Lifedrinker. But then I researched some more about how to make sure the OTK was an OTK instead of relying on getting everything perfect. The next reason is because with Warlock and Preist most likely seeing a lot of play, you need utility with or without Wok. Wok getting Hagatha’s effect won’t hurt in a pinch especially against Cubelock. And Hagatha perpetuates control. Defender x1 will allow for flexibility mid combo and then can be good if something goes wrong with Wok. Tol'vir Stoneshaper is a nice touch as well for mid combo and solidifying the kill next turn if again something goes wrong. Wok can almost be a Reno if you play your cards right, he’ll be even better as a divine shield taunt. There are a few different compensations people go for with this deck- some try and reconcile draw power, some reconcile healing. I think with a slower meta you won’t need to do too much so I’d rather tech cards that won’t be so situational although arguably Gluttonous Ooze can be situational. I wanted to also secure the OTK so I added Nightblade and Kalimos, Primal Lord which is not bad either since you’ll need big cards until you get to Shudder. And he can be cheap with Fire Plume and procced by Grumble before Wok so you get even more direct damage out. The other weird tech in here (weird compared to what I’ve seen) is Unstable Evolution . I teched this in as an emergency play on dead draws (which shouldn’t happen in this deck) and to work with the battlecry package. I liked Shaman before Wok with this. Cards like Defender of Argus with less than appealing bodies but dope utility get a 2nd+ chance to help the game with Evolution. You can swap out any techs of mine you don’t like for “safe” (but in my opinion too safe not enough option) cards like another DoomsayerFar Sight, and another Volcano. Healing Rain is common as well but the option of Kalimos to me is better and you heal enough with Lifedrinker and cut reach with taunts.
