Mulligans

Introduction

Utilizing the Rush ability from the new Hearthstone expansion, The Witchwood, this deck is doing well against aggro and midrange decks. With the addition of the new Warrior legendary, Darius Crowley, it helps in crushing those low HP minions.

Mulligan and Strategy

Higher Priority

  • 1-drops – Fire Fly is always a solid 1-mana minion since it gives you an extra 1/2 in your hand. Town Crier is a new Warrior card and gives you the ability to draw minions, specifically the Rush ones. Since this deck runs low cost cards, your hand can empty fast. This deck doesn’t have much card draw so Town Crier is decent. It can also pull out a Redband Wasp for turn 2.
  • Woodcutter's Axe – A weapon would not be that bad. This weapon allows you to set up for a bigger Rush minion for turn 3 or 4. It is a good 2 cost card since the deck suffers without having a good turn 1 and 2.

Lower Priority

This is for situational purposes and it highly depends on your enemy

  • Whirlwind – This depends when you’re against an aggro deck, like the odd/even Paladins. Other than that, it is safe to mulligan away.
  • Bloodsail Raider or Redband Wasp – If you have a 1-drop ready on your hand, keep either of the two just to get a good curve. Against aggro, Redband Wasp can help with trading the minions. For slower decks, Bloodsail Raider is good with or without a weapon because of its base stats.
  • Darius Crowley – Now this is more of an unlikely keep but if the rest of your cards are curved well, then it is safe to keep it.
