Just to be sure: If you draw cataclysm before Mecha’Thun, it is a guaranteed loss, right? So 50% of all games are automatic losses because this is the chance for that to happen, right?
I’m finding an even warlock version of this deck just does better than a control shell. You can still run 2 siphons and twistings but you at least have a proactive backup plan against better combo decks (maly, shudder). And don’t run galvanizer. This is a 3 card combo. You don’t need the discount.
And it (supposedly) allows you to dig through your deck easier, which you really want in this deck even more than in usual combo deck because you have to have an empty deck to execute your combo.

Ya I feel like this deck doesn’t take advantage of being able to use odd cards enough to warrant not being even
