If you have at least one 2-drop in your hand, it's pretty safe to also keep a 4-drop. Reno is also an auto-keep vs. aggro

Deck Basics

This deck uses the power of 1-cost paladin hero power from Genn Greymane to generate a lot of value and tempo in the early game, while using Reno Jackson to restore health against some aggressive decks. The power of Call to ArmsEqualityN'Zoth, The Corruptor, and more makes this deck so powerful.

That’s odd, why is this card even here?

  • Acidic Swamp Ooze – great against some aggressive weapon decks and to get rid of Aluneth and Skull of the Man'ari
  • Annoy-o-Tron – an anti-aggro 2-drop that is really good when pulled by Call to Arms
  • Doomsayer – the best epic in the game (at least most played) and for a reason. One of the best control cards ever printed
  • Equality – one of the best AoE effects in the game that is also an efficient way to get rid of a giant board.
  • Haunted Creeper – good sticky 2-drop
  • Hydrologist – good 2-drop that wasn’t played just because of Call to Arms
  • Loot Hoarder – good 2-drop and card draw
  • Plated Beetle – an anti-aggro 2-drop
  • Shielded Minibot – good 2-drop to combat the early game
  • Wild Pyromancer – a way to clear the board with Equality, in addition to being a good 2-drop and a good small AoE
  • Consecration – a way to clear the board with Equality, in addition to being a good board clear against some aggro decks
  • Defender of Argus – an anti-aggro 4-drop that can also grant a massive tempo boost
  • Keeper of Uldaman – a great card (almost Sunkeeper Tarim level). Good on your own (1) 1/1 and on big enemy minions
  • Murloc Knight  – it’s actually a 5-drop. This + Hero Power = Tempo Boost
  • Piloted Shredder – anyone who played HS in the past you years knows the power level of this card. Another bonus it that it can be summoned by N'Zoth, The Corruptor
  • Spellbreaker – silence is always good in the current meta
  • The Glass Knight – it’s like Piloted Shredder, but better. The synergy with some heal cards in the deck makes the divine shield regenerate-able, which makes this card OP
  • Truesilver Champion – an amazing weapon that works with The Glass Knight
  • Cairne Bloodhoof – here because of N'Zoth, the Curruptor
  • Genn Greymane – turns out that 1-cost hero power is good, and most of the good paladin cards are already even
  • Ivory Knight – a good healing card, not much more. This can be easily replaced if you don’t have Karazhan
  • Justicar Trueheart – 2 1/1s are better than one. In the late game, this uses the extra mana on extra hero power (because all of your cards are even and you have even number of maximum mana). This hero power alone pushed odd paladin in standard to be a tier 1 deck
  • Reno Jackson – In the current meta, aggro is dominant, bu it is shut down with this card. It allows you to play for tempo and sacrifice some of your HP to win the game
  • Spikeridged Steed – Un’Goro was the Uther’s heaven
  • Sunkeeper Tarim – just the best card in the game (based on power level)
  • Sylvanas Windrunner – a good anti-control card that is extremely good with N'Zoth, The Corruptor
  • Ragnaros, Lightlord – a good massive heal card that can also push damage
  • The Lich King – the value dream. Amazing card
  • Tirion Fordring – not only it’s the best classic card, it is the best card in the game (after Voidlord) to summon with N'Zoth, The Corruptor
  • N'Zoth, The Corruptor – a push in the late game that puts sticky minions on the battlefield and generates a lot of value, anti-aggression, and tempo. This card wins games by its own so much so that I consider it to be the best HS card ever. (It is also basically your win condition)
