The Lessons Learned in Hearthstone’s Spell Schools
I think that Common, Rare & Epic are more about complexity (but even then honestly it’s not always very consistent). Legendaries can also have this rarity because of complexity, but there are tons of Legendaries with simple effects. So in many cases it’s more about balance. They don’t want you to put two copies of them into your deck. For example, assuming Nature Shaman would be a very strong deck, having two Bru’kans could really break it.

Shaman, Warlock and Warrior Rotating Cards Nerf Reverts Announced
Oh damn, I forgot about that nerf. Yeah, it made Bloodbloom really useless.
Maiev Shadowsong Hero Skin Available In Shop For 1000 Gold or $6.99 / €6.99
They gave Tyrande again for free because the initial promotion was region-restricted. People from many countries couldn’t officially registered for Amazon Prime. Only like 7 or 8 countries were eligible, so devs promised that others will get access to it eventually.
I think it became available in some Asian countries like a few months after the initial promo, but the rest of the world had to wait over 3 years :p
Paladin, Priest and Rogue Rotating Cards Nerf Reverts Announced
I’m almost sure that Call to Arms at 4 will bring Even Paladin back in Wild. Pulling three 2-drops from your deck for 4 mana is insane.
Key Cards Rotating Out in 2021 (Year of the Gryphon) - Part 2 (Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin)
It was fun, but it was mostly a gimmick. It was only played briefly, shortly after its launch, and didn’t appear in any builds in the last year or so. That’s why I didn’t put it on the list. Maybe could have added it as a honorable mention 🙂
Which Core Set Buffs Are Going to Be the Most Impactful?
Yep, Kayn is not rotating out, it was a mistake.
Sorry about that, since Demon Hunter Basic + Intiniate + Ashes of Outland released at the same time, many people (including me) couldn’t remember which card is from which set.
Core Set 2022 Guide - How to Obtain It, How it Works, Full List of Cards
I think that they used Ashes of Outland cards, because they didn’t have anything else to add to the Demon Hunter’s Core Set. Basic & Demon Hunter Initiate didn’t have many cards to pick from. Other classes had hundreds of cards to pick from, so they didn’t have to include any Year of the Phoenix cards.
Core Set 2022 Guide - How to Obtain It, How it Works, Full List of Cards
I’m not 100% sure, but I would think so?
Update: Apparently, Celestalon confirmed that the cards will stay Basic after rotating out. Only their Core Set versions will have changed rarity. So it looks like you won’t be able to disenchant them after all.
Dean "Iksar" Ayala's Twitter Q&A - March 3, 2021 - Roundup of All Answers - Guilds/Clans, Pre-Release Events, High Legend Rewards, Charge, Official Deck Tracker, Hearthstone VR
Yes, a lot of the cards that rotate out will have their nerfs reverted. It will all most likely happen with the expansion patch (20.0) which should be out a few days before Forged in the Barrens. The only problem is that we still aren’t 100% sure when Forged in the Barrens comes out.
I think that only the basic smilies (like 🙂 or 🙁 for example) are recognized by WordPress, and you have to write them like : ) (just without space in between), so you can’t do anything more complex.
Dean "Iksar" Ayala's Twitter Q&A - March 3, 2021 - Roundup of All Answers - Guilds/Clans, Pre-Release Events, High Legend Rewards, Charge, Official Deck Tracker, Hearthstone VR
I don’t know about iOS, but Arcane Tracker was a thing on Android, right? I never used tracker when playing on mobile, so I’m not up to date on that.
And to clarify – I never said that official deck tracker should not be developed. I’m just saying that it’s a huge undertaking that will require a lot of dev time to create and even more to keep it working across all platforms and saying it’s not a thing because “devs are lazy” is disingenuous to put it lightly. Game dev is way more complicated than “oh, this thing would be nice to add to our game and some players would like it, so let’s do it!”

Honestly, I have to disagree with you. Deck tracker is not just a function they can add and forget about it. If it’s official, they would need to support it on all systems – PC, MacOS, Android, iOS. They would also have to constantly keep it up to date on all four, work on any bugs that come with new releases, keep adding new features (because if they make it really basic, then why use it over the unofficial one?) Long story short, it’s thousands of hours of development time that could be spent elsewhere.
We don’t live in the world where additional functions are in the vacuum and devs have unlimited resources – spending so much time on this would mean less time for new game modes, less time for fixing other bugs, less time for other UI changes and so on. And I feel like those are simply more important.
Casual players don’t care about it anyway (the majority of playerbase doesn’t use it – HS deck tracker has “only” ~450k users out of 20mil+ players) and people who do can just download it like they do right now. Developing an official deck tracker would be a very expensive solution to a problem that isn’t there.
Key Cards Rotating Out in 2021 (Year of the Gryphon) - Part 1 (Neutral Cards)
If you play Standard and only Standard – probably you can just dust them.
If you play Wild – ehhh, maybe. Keep in mind that Core Set will rotate yearly, around 30% of it according to the devs, so next year we’ll have ~80 different cards in it. The cards that rotate out of Core Set will disappear from your collection – so if you e.g. disenchanted a card that’s good in Wild, you will have to craft it again.
And if you want to play Classic – no, because Core Set versions won’t be playable in Classic.
In general, I’m not a big fan of disenchanting cards, especially now that we know that Blizzard is pumping new game modes / formats like crazy. We might get something interesting that uses those old cards later down the road.
Core Set 2022 Guide - How to Obtain It, How it Works, Full List of Cards
Core Set cards will be separate. So if you already have 2x Coldarra Drake (or any other card), you will still own them, and you will get 2x Coldarra Drake from Core Set 2021.
You can now own up to 8 copies of the same card – 2x regular & 2x golden from the old versions and 2x regular + 2x golden from Core Set. And yes, all of those copies will get buffed.
Assuming that Coldarra Drake leaves Core Set next year, the Core Set version will disappear from your collection, but you will still own the old ones you did previously.
But yes, I can see how it can get pretty confusing. It will be much easier to understand once everything goes live.
Core Set 2022 Guide - How to Obtain It, How it Works, Full List of Cards
I’m currently writing a series of articles covering all the important cards that are leaving – including Basic/Classic and Year of the Dragon. By important I mean those who have seen some meta play. I won’t have one for only Basic & Classic, but there was a great infographic on reddit showcasing those: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/lsurm8/all_card_changes_buffsnerfs_cards_leaving_cards/

“Are we getting Dust for Cho, Nat Pagle and all the other Classics leaving?”
I’m afraid not, we’re getting Core Set for free and that’s the compensation.
I would like to get Dust, of course, but I’m sure that it would be too much for them to give out just like that.
Core Set 2022 Guide - How to Obtain It, How it Works, Full List of Cards
That was the plan from the get-go – DH only got extra cards during Year of the Phoenix. Starting with Year of the Gryphon, they will get the same amount of cards as other classes.

Nah, definitely not, they won’t release mini-set AND paid adventure, that would be too much. They’re committed to mini-sets every expansion now.
I should probably mention it in the post. You can watch all the VoDs on official Hearthstone Esports YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV7woL1v23u3sc_Uo10dy9g
