The Top Classic Decks to Try (Again) in Classic Mode
Shockadin was Aggro Pally with Avenging Wrath right? I think it will be playable in Classic, actually.
Mill Rogue was first played in Naxx I think, but really became more popular in GvG thanks to Healbot giving a defensive option. Some form of Mill Rogue might be playable in Classic, though.
The first deck I hit Legend with was Tempo Rogue. Then I took it all the way to around Top 50 Legend finisher around the time we’ll land in Classic (it was either May or June 2014). But hitting high Legend was way, way easier back then.
Developers Reverting or Partially Reverting ~30 Nerfs For The Upcoming Rotation
Yes, reverting nerfs means buffing the cards to their original state. They never gave dust compensations for buffs.
At least now we know that Core Set is free, so they won’t screw players out of their gold or anything like that. But we’ll see how well the Core Set works as a replacement for Basic/Classic. I think that it’s a great idea overall (I’ve been talking about it for YEARS now), but they need to nail the balance and flavor for it to work.

Maybe from some of them, but probably not all.
That said, I’m 100% sure that HS is the most popular online CCG. And by a huge margin.
The Top Classic Decks to Try (Again) in Classic Mode
I’m nearly sure that we had some undiscovered, strong decks. Deck building skills were much worse back then, and we didn’t have stat-tracking tools like HSReplay etc. People will probably find something new to play that we didn’t discover back then. That’s actually the thing I’m waiting for most.

Some people don’t mind playing the same thing over and over again. I mean, Chess didn’t have any major rule changes in hundreds of years and people still enjoy it ๐
And to be honest, they never said that they won’t balance Classic format. If it turns out that X deck is overpowered, it might get nerfed in Classic only (Classic will have its own versions of cards anyway). If they land at a balanced meta, it might be pretty fun to play a few old decks every now and then. It definitely won’t be my main format, but I’m looking forward to it.
I also think that it will get stale quickly, but we’ll see. In the worst case scenario I’ll have fun for a week and then forget about it, haha.

Classic Hearthstone will be played on June 2014 patch, Patron Warrior became a thing a ~year later ๐ Maybe they will introduce some expansions to Classic at one point, but it won’t be playable when the format releases.

When Starcraft gets more air time than you…
But I still wonder why HotS failed so badly. The game was really fun, especially for a more casual MOBA fan. Granted, I haven’t played in in years, because I didn’t have enough time for another online game, but back when it first launched and within the following year I had a great time with friends.
Dean "Iksar" Ayala's Twitter Q&A - February 10, 2021 - Roundup of All Answers - Upgrading to Gold Cards, Core Set, Cosmetic Rewards for Difficult Achievements, Tauren Hero
I wouldn’t say that they contradict each other, to be honest. They aren’t against game modes where you use cards from your collection – in fact, that’s what keeps the game alive, because it sells packs. And I agree with him that introducing lots of modes that wouldn’t take your collection into account would devalue packs a lot.
But like Iksar said in the previous Q&A’s, he wants to make them more accessible to people who don’t like deck building part by giving people an option to just get straight into the game like we do in Battlegrounds. In fact, Cosntructed already kind of does it with auto completed decks – players don’t need to build and can let the game do it for themselves. But I imagine that many people don’t know that and they would like to make it easier / more clear, like again – just clicking one button to play with an auto-constructed deck from your cards and get straight into the game.
Long story short = having modes that use your collection doesn’t necessarily equal having to build decks. They can let the game build a deck for people, or maybe use pre-made decks for those who don’t like deck building part.

Maybe he meant the new cards, not the returning cards ๐
Year of the Phoenix in Review - Statistics From The Passing Year
There are no official stats, but some people are doing “unofficial” calculation by hitting Legend and then conceding all the way to the bottom.
The latest one is from November, though: https://twitter.com/glormagic/status/1333476058570518529
The numbers vary heavily between months – expansion month right after Standard rotation is usually the most popular, with the numbers getting lower and lower as the year passes (with bumps during 2nd and 3rd expansion months).

Why would you do that, though?
Hearthstone Grandmasters 2021 Announced - New Season Starts On April 9
Oh they know that Twitch is a better platform, any non-Esports event is streamed on Twitch, they just signed a big contract with Google which forced them to stream HS Esports on YT.

Yeah, it’s sad that HS Esports on YT still doesn’t have drops :/
Core Set Is Replacing Basic/Classic - 235 Cards Set Updated Every Year (Free For All Players New), Classic Hearthstone Format With Original 2014 Game's State, More Deck Slots!
It would make sense for Tavern Brawls to be updated with non-Classic packs, because Classic Packs will be now useless in Standard (and I think that Standard will still bel the “main” way to play the game). But we’ll see what they do about them.
Core Set Is Replacing Basic/Classic - 235 Cards Set Updated Every Year (Free For All Players New), Classic Hearthstone Format With Original 2014 Game's State, More Deck Slots!
Yes, you need to hit level 10 with a given class to unlock all Core Set cards from that class. So if you have Paladin at level 60, you have all Paladin cards.
To unlock all Neutrals, you need to hit level 60 between all classes. So e.g. if you have Warrior, Rogue and Shaman at level 20 you will already unlock all Neutrals. Or your Paladin at level 60 will also unlock all Neutrals already ๐

Well, yes and no.
First of all – if I understand it correctly, the Classic cards from Core Set won’t be playable in Classic format if that’s something you want to play.
Also, cards from Core Set won’t be added to your collection permanently. Core Set will be updated yearly. Let’s say that in Core Set 2021 we will get Brawl for free, but it won’t be available in Core Set 2022. If you disenchant it, then you won’t be able to play Brawl in Wild.
But if you only play Standard, then yes, you can disenchant Classic cards.

Level 10 on a class to unlock all Core cards from that class.
Neutrals will be unlocked based on the summarized level across all classes (a total of 60 levels needed, so e.g. 6 classes to level 10 will give you all Neutrals).
Hahah, I don’t know what kind of question you would have to ask to get yourself banned ๐
But I think it’s more like it’s not something so important that needs to be confirmed by logging in so they made it easier for everyone.
