When playing OTK or C’thun decks, Priest is one of my biggest fears. A well-timed Illucia can completely mess up my gameplan. When playing C’Thun, I just try to play a piece whenever I draw it, but sometimes it’s impossible and I need to hold it for a turn or two. And it’s even worse when playing something like ETC Warrior – I need so many combo pieces for the combo that my opponent just waits until I have like 5-10 cards left in my deck and then drops Illucia, steals the combo and I’m done.

In fact, stats show that Priest has worse matchup vs most of the Aggro decks than against stuff like ETC Warrior.

It was the issue of using ” instead of ” in card tags (simple things like that sometimes mess up with the tags). Thanks for pointing it out, I’ve fixed it!

No idea yet, but my guess would be mini-set release mid-January and new expansion mid-March. So you still have a lot of time 🙂

That’s how it worked in the last week’s Brawl, I didn’t have time to test this one and I assumed that it works the same. Sorry, I already fixed it, but there’s no reason to get so worked up over something so irrelevant.

What do you mean? If you played enough to get 10k Gold in the old system, you should have even more than that this time around. I usually got to around 8k and I should have around 10k this time around (plus all the non-Gold rewards).

You still earn Gold after level 50. It’s 50 not 150, but you level up 3 times as often, which means that you end up with the same as it was before.

…while reducing the necessary amount of XP by 2/3 and increasing the number of levels from 150 to 350.

In other words, it’s literally the same amount of gold in total, you’re just getting smaller amounts more often now (which is always better).

No idea, I’m pretty sure that the official stance is “up to 30 days”, but they usually came out a few days after the tournament. So I would GUESS later this week or early next week.

Maybe they will release a new bundle closer to Christmas, like next week. We’ll see 🙂 It would be weird if they didn’t push anything out, because I’m pretty sure that we had some Christmas bundles for a couple of years now (e.g. Dame Hazelbark last year).

We might still get some buffs / nerfs, we’ll learn more in the patch notes that should be shown quite soon! 🙂

And yeah, move to YT was terrible for HS Esports. Tournaments on Twitch had WAY more viewers. I hope that they will bring it back to Twitch eventually, but probably not soon because of the deal with Google.

I wouldn’t call it a win for F2P players – most of them still opened lots of packs from Darkmoon because they didn’t know how much impact it will have on the meta, so it’s not like they saved much. And there’s still a few Legendaries from the expansion you might want to craft as they improve older decks.

Plus, a stale meta is not a win for anyone – yes, it’s technically cheaper if you don’t need that many cards from new expansion and still have success with many decks, but so what if the game isn’t that fun because it didn’t change much. Maybe mini-sets is something they’ve accounted for and didn’t want to make base expansion too powerful, who knows.

Yes, you will get the gold retroactively, so if you’re already past those levels you’ll still get +100.

Oh yeah, World Championship is going to be a mess… I wouldn’t be surprised if they heavily moderated the chat and banned all the anti-Blizzard phrases.

Now that’s fun! I’m “happy ” to inform that you will be able to play it a lot, since it happens quite commonly. It seems to be a problem with WordPress (or at least the version we run) – if I hit the save button, sometimes it “saves” the version from a few seconds earlier, cutting the last few words. And then I often don’t realize and keep writing the next section.

In this case, I mean “I’m afraid that we’ll have to wait until the week after tournament” 🙂

That’s a good point. Irish Seadog already explained why we don’t create a new post for every new update, but the 600+ comments all loading really makes the page too heavy. I’ll look for a way to hide the old comments (e.g. display only the latest 50 on the first page) or just delete the old ones. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I agree, but I’m making a budget deck for every class anyway, so I’ve tried to do my best with Priest too.

While I don’t mind the new system in general, I think that the perfect approach would be for Quests to give both XP and Gold/Dust/other rewards. Limiting everything to only XP doesn’t feel good.

I agree that the game has been a buggy mess ever since the last release. I’ll cut them some slack for two reasons – Hearthstone hasn’t seen such a massive update in years and there’s been a big Holiday last week in the US (Thanksgiving) so it definitely slowed some things down. But they really have to pull themselves together and fix those things this week.

Definitely not, people who were fired mostly had non-dev jobs, e.g. community managers and PR people. That said, a lot of devs from HS started working on other projects over the last year or so, and it’s hard to say whether they were replaced with others without having a look inside the company. So it’s something we can’t really answer.
