We’ll need to see support cause in standard DH has literally only Renowned Performer as far as 4 or less deathrattle class cards go. There has to be more we haven’t seen yet, this is complete garbage until we see anything else.

The flavor on this card is hella mismatched. What the heck is a “beastmaster” doing in demon hunter lmao.

Plus, what relation does this card’s effect have to beasts? It has no beast synergy whatsoever.

Overall, Razorfen is fine for Demon Hunter, but you can only realistically use either Fishy Flyer or Renowned Performer.

3 Stars, has potential, very simple. More Aggro Oriented Demon Hunters will try out the Beastmaster.

I think it’s absolute trash and there’s no way it sees play in any deck. If you don’t have a deathrattle in hand, it’s a terrible card. If you do, it’s still not good enough. Remember that this costs you two cards because it removes the other one from your hand when playing it.

I mean pulling out a renowned performer isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Imagine your opponent lets this survive for a turn, so you trade into some enemy minion with 3 damage, pull out a performer out your hand for free, trade that as well for another 3 damage and finally summon 2 1/1 taunts for the deathrattle.

So essentially you would have dealt 3 damage to two enemy minions and summoned 2 1/1 taunts all for 3 mana. Not too bad, I guess. And even though it pulls something out of your hand and deprives you of some resources, demon hunter is one of the best card draw classes anyways so that might not be such a big downside.

But yeah, overall I agree, this card doesn’t look too promising. Imma put it at a 2/5 just to be safe.

Even that best case scenario of yours doesn’t come close to making that card worth running. You spend 3 mana and 2 cards for what? A little bit of board damage and a few small taunts? No way! You’re not seeing the whole picture. You didn’t pay the mana cost for the second card, but you still paid the card. You’re still left with two fewer cards in hand. If this mediocre result is the best case scenario and the worst case is a 3-mana 3/3, there’s no way this sees competitive play.

Anyone else think this was supposed to be a hunter card but got changed to demon hunter cause would’ve been too good in hunter?

When I first saw it I was 100% sure that it’s a Hunter card, but the border seemed weird and I had to double-check it. Really feels like they scrapped it from Hunter and gave to DH instead, both flavor and effect-wise, lol.

Yeah, It’s super wierd. I guess Team5 of Hearthstone saw how fun Egg Hunter Was, so they’re slowly bringing it to Demon Hunter to start playing Deathrattle as well.

Who knows what new Deck Ideas they have for Demon Hunter.

I thought it was a hunter card and I thought it was too bad to see play even in hunter. If it was meant to be in hunter, it’s not because it was too good that it was moved.

I mean it’s pretty meh in Hunter as well. You basically get a delayed version of a deathrattle with this one – you play this guy, wait for this guy to die so you can summon another guy from your hand, and then you wait for the guy you summoned from your hand to die AS WELL before you finally pop out your deathrattle.

And the only major deathrattle minions from Hunter cost 3 mana, like bloated python and zixor. So why not just downright pay that 3 mana to play one of those, instead of delaying your already delayed deathrattle? Is the 3/3 body really worth the wait? Not really, in my opinion.

On top of that you’re losing resources by pulling stuff out your hand.
