It’s a battlecry, it will reduce the cost of cards you have the moment this minion enters the battlefield, no need to keep it alive.

If you can somehow steal this card from a shaman and have a minion to reduce it cost, you can do some crazy stuff.

Stealing with priest, having a radiant elemental you can fully upgrade a minion. And for the luls just add a questing adventurer/mana addict/yogg saron/lyra
